What about freedom of speech? It's the same old story, accept something from the government and they "own you." Maybe churches should pay taxes and become free to say what they want.
Al-Quran has 1400 years ago and Muslim Scientists has been declared "He (God) makes you (human), in the wombs of your mothers, in stages, one after another, in three veils of darkness".
Al Quran sura Az Zumar;6
".....He (God) makes you, in the wombs of your mothers, in stages, one after another, in three veils of darkness. . . ."
Have the Bible and scientists states "He (God ) makes you (human), in the wombs of your mothers, in stages, one after another, in three veils of darkness"?
There are three models of Government competing for world domination:
(1) Communist / atheist: where government officials decide and dole out your temporal rights if any
(2) Sharia Law: where the Qu'ron governs
(3) Judeo-Christian model, where God grants our rights & liberties and THEREFORE they are unalienable, power resides in we the people, we are sovereign and the government is our servant.

The "majority" of religions in the world are "bad for us" while the minority of religions does really work by promoting hope, peace, equality, the universe defies explanation so dismissing religious belief is childish & judgemental.
Oh please. How much does religion effect society to the point where we need to "challenge" it? This is stupid. Let atheists be atheists and Christians be Christians. The only problem I could see why atheists wish to rid of religion is because they themselves wish that everyone would have the same opinions on life.
the reason we are going on about this, and how that science should be looked at more closely than religion, is because someone who believes in a god someone who himself put together the word and the universe is ubserd. Anyone who has the christian faith is more ignorant than anyother religion... Genisis in the bible states that the world is 6000 yrs old from creation to now 6000 yrs old... that itself is crazy. any person with half a brain would agree that the world is more than 6000 yrs old...
@slverfish Everyday? I strongly find that hard to believe. People who chose to be atheist will be atheist. I have co-workers who I've known for years and I have no idea whether they are atheist or Christian. It's entirely irrelevant to the success of the industry. Why can't people believe in miracles? How dull would this world be if there were know people of with faith? Think of the renaissance, think of culture. This is stupid...
YOUR insecurity is seen by your organization of your church or group meeting of atheism. Why do so if you dont believe in a god or religion? the truth is out there and you know it and your scared.
if you watch this movie and become an atheist you probably saved yourself a couple of years of praying / going to church / doing other useless bullshit. So I would not call this waste of time.
Perhaps the lack of community is what causes atheists to feel alone and thus contributes to our sense of isolation in any group-based agenda such as elections and politics. My issue with Tabash's speech (so far) is the attitude of voting for an atheist, possibly in disregard for his or her platform. This is no better than a faithful Christian voting for a faithful Christian, despite other issues. A negative path for any democracy, especially one founded on the separation of church and state.
I'm not sure I agree with you. Atheists tend to be intelligent, independent and utterly capable of coping with a surrounding world of irrationality. I agree that some are utterly isolated and in need of support. I also admit that it is easy for me to say this living in the UK where being an atheist invites no more hostility than any other denomination. In fact as a software engineer I rarely encounter religious people. Most of us are contemptuous of religion.
Well, we tend to be alone, but I'm not sure block voting will be the way to go about fixing it. I think people need to realize athiests aren't terrible people. Looking past the IMPORTANT ISSUES at hand to block vote is just as bad as voting for someone because they're black, or a woman, or Catholic... not because they're the best canidate. This isn't the "community" I'd want.
"I think people need to realize athiests aren't terrible people"
Yep, I agree. Do you think they will? The devout are deeply fearful people. They spend their lives demonizing anything that doesn't conform to their narrow view of the world.
Beelzebub is a distortion of worship of the golden calf. The Lucifarians worshiped an angel. Athiests are the 'godless commies'.
Atheists are not a group like the gay community. I love science and facts but I don't feel like I'm part of a community. I fail to see the lessons that science promoters can learn from gay pride activists.

This guy really needs to get laid. He really needs to jazz up his presentation too. Other than that, his message is good.
