I haven't listened to the Tmptations original version in a while so I would have to hear it again before I could say which one I like better, but Marvin is definitely a better singer than anyone from the Temptations. He's the best ever.
@SupaStarry ,whats good. This is good, but its not on the Tempts level. The Tempts share leads on that song, which gives that song a certain dynamic, you got multiple voices coming at you, and plus Eddie's high voice, its not Marvin's fault, it was brave like someone else said, but this is a group song. Marvin is still the man though
@tuzwol Hey Tuz, idk...for me Marvin and The Tempts are way up there on my list. I do love the Tempts version but Marvin can hold his own. its hard for me to choose between them lol.
Marvin had to have felt this song more than the Tempts, with all due respect. Y'all gotta feel him, this song belongs to Him, this is Marvin's story.

@MartianSanta , Crappy Temptations, really??. Any one who knows about soul knows that is the biggest lie since OJ said he never did it

@NesserK97 Some people just need the attention and make a fool out of themselves with such comments.

@KrfNYC2 MARVIN THE PRINCE OF R AND B ROCKS BUT THE TEMPTATIONS WERE CLASS BY THEMSELVES ESPECIALLY WITH DAVID RUFFIN AND EDDIE KENDRICKS

@blkpanther11 I disagree. Marvin is #1 in my book. Both as a singer and a musician.

Marvin related to this song so well, thats why it was important for him to contribute his expression to the lyrics. This is a masterpiece.
