Ok, IDC what you guys say about this comment. The beast broke loose from captivity. The humans have only 1 choice, and that is to kill the beast terrorizing their city. But the humans don't know he's only looking for a girl. What would YOU do in that situation? Hope your beauty calms Kong down? No. Kong is a victim to Carl's greedyness and ability to not care about ANYTHING. The enemy is 1 man who got in over his head for money. The humans aren't evil. Kong has no idea what to do. So, he dies.

When I saw this in theaters, even though I knew Kong was going to die, you couldn't help but feel a strange sense of foreshadowing. Even if you had never heard of Kong before, there was a sense of doom from the start. This video captures that perfectly. Now if only someone would attach this music to scenes of the 1933 original...

Great insight, thanks for the comment! I wish this part of James Newton Howard's score had been used for the Empire State Building scene. I felt this piece captured the tragedy better than what was used in the final film. It's a minor nitpick to an otherwise powerful remake. And I've had more than one person tell me that this video made them cry more than the theatrical version. I know I'm one of them! :)

Interesting question. I would never find fault in Kong. He's an innocent. But I couldn't blame her either. She wasn't a willing participant in his capture. The fault lies with the greed of Denham. It wasn't Beauty that killed Kong, it was loneliness and Denham exploited that.

Actually this mix is a combination of several tracks from the soundtrack. I believe the song you're looking for appears at the end of the track "Tooth and Claw"... it's the music that plays when Kong tears out the tongue of the last T-Rex.

It's not one complete track but rather includes pieces of tracks from the King Kong soundtrack. Most of it, I believe, comes from a track called "Beauty Killed the Beast III" You can find it on iTunes under James Newton Howard.

the music reflects the film in the sense that they are more beautiful than terrifying, unlike the 1933 version. i personally think this movie, is awsume, and the older version is just classic

No fair! I wish my band teach actually picked beautiful music like this for my high school. He gives us unchallenging elementary school music and we've neer played anything above grade 4 at a concert. We have the ability, he just doesn't challenge us.
