You sure are an amazing guitarist, but from the responses to comments youve posted, youre an amazing person too, which is far more important. just thought i should point that out
I took up guitar on becoming a dad at 48, 2 years ago, so my son would have music around as he grew up. I've been teaching myself finger picking and devouring all the examples I can find,. I have become an instant big fan of your playing, I think because it is absolutely in the slot, yet so full of uniqueness and personality. You've shown me where to go next; and that is to play my covers but make them mine and to have as much fun as I can doing it. Thanks so much for that.
Let me elaborate. As a child I used to hate music until I got a hold of a Cassette Tape with this and Two other artists (Blind Lemon Jefferson and one other I've forgotten by now.) I've been in love with music ever since, but my first love has always been the blues.
Very interesting guitar. It's got a great twangyness to it, really suitable for this style of music. You kindly shared with me a little about your D18, but what's the story on this axe? Thanks for the great music!
I've always liked this song, candyman, by mississippi john hurt. seeing you play this has inspired me to learn to play it. and thanks to youtube, i can see all the fretboard fingerings.
Damn, that is a good version of it. I can figure it out from here, but I can never tell tunings. It sounded like an open D, maybe E to me, but i could be wrong. Anyways, can you post your tunings in vid descriptions? It would help me greatly.
You are an amzing inspiration, i always watch all your videos in one sitting, can't only see one. I really wish i had nice guitars like you tho, hehe.
Impressive ,bloke, watched Stephan Grossman play this last month, but you, like me, are cursed with the small hands, the aposable thumb, we can only dream of, barre chords are all we can manage
I love the way you play it, you've got a great style! He played it differently in each recording I've heard. Always a different key, speed, composition, or different lyrics, or something. :)
YouTube is currently experiencing technical problems with the message system, so I am posting this on all my videos. If you have subscribed, thank you very much. I'm sure YouTube's staff is doing everything possible to fix the problem.
Dancing cats A cat went here and there The moon spun happily like a top The cat Looked up For,the pale light high above in the vault of the sky troubled her blood Lifting her delicate feet She wandered n wailed Do you dance? What better than call a dance? Cats came one by one Dancing like wild waves of the sea...
I love your vid's! My favorite so far is "This and That". Ive played that like 20 times. Can you possibly give me a chord progression for some of the songs?

thedirtydeltas 4 years ago
watch his fingers and emulate and use your ear. you will get MUCH farther that way.
tekkenjam 4 years ago
well yeah i can do all that but that too i want the tab i find it faster
thedirtydeltas 4 years ago
you'll play it better if you learn it by ear, than by tab, and also you need to start ear training anyways.
bornfedslaughter 4 years ago
yeah man I agree, I work through ear training and intervals and the like, its all part of my course, cheers of the good advice though
