As a Celtics fan this still hurts to watch. They came so close to winning this game and the title. I still don't see why Gasol wasn't given Finals MVP, he was spectacular in this game and outplayed KG during the whole Finals. And in the end, of all people, Ron Artest hits the dagger 3 that wins the Lakers the game. I still can't believe he made it. Now if only the Celtics and Lakers could make the finals one last time for a rubber match.

Kobe averaged 24.7 points 5.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists while coming up short twice. It's always funny to me how guys try to use stats to make the case for Kobe when in reality all the numbers are in MJ's favor. And I can guess exactly where this is going next.....

The 96 Bulls were damned stacked, please don't say they werent. Fact is when Payton switched MJ was shut down, Game 4: 6-19, Game 6: 5-19. Overall 41% for the series. MJ stans hound Kobe for this game in particular, rule out the 15rbds, but quickly forget MJ had his share of poor games.

@oldmanwithers1 96 bulls were a great team but when I think of "stacked" teams im looking at the the lakers and celtics of the 80s, early 2000s kings, admittedly some of those jailblazers teams, etc, Teams with talent from top to bottom and not just 2-3 great players. As for Payton "shutting down" Jordan, I agree that he SLOWED HIM DOWN but guys who get shut down don't avg 27 a game(three more than Kobe's career finals avg).

When its Kobe, he got carried by Shaq and Gasol, when it's Jordan, he did it all by himself, despite having two HOFers (one being top 5 SF- all time, and the other the GOAT rebounder), and 6th man of the year Toni Kukoc, not to mention solid, underrated jump shooting bigs that complimented MJ's perimeter game perfectly. Bulls management did a wonderful job with those teams, but sometimes MJ just gets too much credit.

C's needed no 21 FTS to win the game how about 4 only for the qtr. Game 6, Need I say more? the entire fts were C's 191 LA 170= 21 difference. compared to 149-200 in 2010 favoring LA.
