What these people are missing--boneheads--is that Christ is supposed to have done this SO THAT THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO. Are they trying to take away Christ's glory or something? Do they think Jesus would have wanted them to do this? No Way! Jesus would have said "Hey boneheads, I suffered like this SO YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO."

There is a symbolic nature to this that most people who are ignorant to Christ do not understand. Christ was nailed because of our sins. He submitted to it by his own free will. This man has freely chosen to take the sins of his people and in a Christ-like fashion, to suffer for these sins as a sacrifice. If you want to dis-believe in God for this, that's pretty closed-minded and judgmental. Actually, this sort of act quite an act of devotion.

1Timothy 5:22 (KJV) Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.

And, The Bible teaches that Jesus took ALL of mankind's sins. Sacrifice of any kind is no longer needed.

Learn something about your fucked up religion before taking a stance of higher intellect on the matter.

No one was forcing them to do this. I think since they decided to these things on a public platform, they open themselves to public opinion- and whether or not people approved of their actions, I think everyone has the right to comment or post their opinion as they see it. You can't just stop people from their freedom of expression.
