  • triton made it so easy as compared to the range rover...mine is triton/strada 3.2 di-d manual transmission. triton rules.

  • MARRRKKKK!!!!

  • i salute you sir for using RRS in his natural habitat! what engine you got there and what is the average MPG? i've heard they are really thirsty...

  • does the triton or range rover have an intercooler?

  • @william49suzuki The Sport has an intercooler and one of the big jobs is keeping the mud out of it. The intercooler is set very low at the front of the engine and there is actually now a kit available for a high mount intercooler with wider fins specifically designed for offroad.

At $1400 its still a ways down the list of options I need to bolt on.

    Rock sliders are next ;-)

  • range rover the way its suppose to be used lol it looks like a beast

  • @TheMr3742 Since that trip it has a new winch on the front and bash plate along with some big spotties on the roof plus bigger muddies. Positively beastie now ;-)

  • In the mudpit at around 1:15 or so, why did the rr sport have the wheels turned to the right instead of going right through?

  • @bcatz454 I was joking with my mate in the Triton about how good the Cooper A/T's were and was bragging that they could even pull me out of the deep ruts on this well known puddle. It was close but no cigar this time. We've done this section more than a few times for fun and it was just a bit of experimenting to see how far I could push it.

Must remember to go back and try out the new STT Muddies on that section.

  • Im just glad to see your using the rangie for off road use =)

  • do the triton is fitted with ARB AIRLOCKER

  • @MegaJosh747

No air lockers on the triton

will check on his tyres and get back to you. They are definitely not standard size and are on custom steel rims

  • Great video, rare to find informative vid`s like this, its given me a bit more direction on tires for my pb challenger. dose the triton have rear diff lock and are the mud tires standard size. As it is hard to find suitable off road for the challenger

  • Great video, rare to find informative vid`s like this, its given me a bit more direction on tires for my pb challenger

  • i ve seen a discovery 3 with 33 inch tires and mantaining the air suspension

fantastic :) u can fit the same to your rr sport

  • RR is still the better off road if you had the same tyres on good vid

  • @landrovertractorboat

Thx mate - we are really enjoying documenting some of our adventures. They are a great learning tool and a good reminder about what not to do in some situations.

Still looking for a set of muddies - having probs finding something less than 32" diameter to fit an 18" rim.

  • @landrovertractorboat

New muddies just fitted and will be giving them hell next week to try them out.

The Triton will be coming along as well so we'll see if we can find some tough terrain to pit them head to head again.

Stay tuned for new video highlights in the coming weeks.

  • Brilliant video. The mud tyres on the Triton sure make a difference. Where was the video shot? Looks like a really fun track.

  • @d3syd

the vids were shot on a variety of tracks in the Watagans. the midder roads included Wave Rock and the Road around Mt Warrawolong coming in from Koala Rd end.
