But I would suggest to use "dict.leo.org" instead of google translator, because google is pretty bad. There are some mistakes, but they are not so bad. It's easy to understand you (except one sentence: "she's been in a video", I had to read the subtitle to understand that one, but hey, maybe I'm just stupid ;P )

btw: when you translate study as "studieren", it means, that you go to an university. You should use "lernen" (to learn) instead ;)

Perhaps with Japanese as the exception, each of the languages sort of help each other. Latin helps SOOO much with European languages. I don't even study Spanish or Portugese, but I can get the gist of what a piece of writing means because it's so similar to French and Latin.

Wenn man einmal von ein paar kleineren Grammatikfehlern absieht ist das erstaunlich! Dein Akzent ist interessant -- ich kann den nicht zuordnen! Klingt leicht französisch, aber dann doch wieder nicht.

@bgand3lla In my school, in Y7 (that's ages 11-12), you take French and Latin, and German is added in Y8 and you continue until Y10 (my year, ages 14-15) where it's only compulsory to continue one language of your choice, but I chose all of them...ahaha.

I really adore both of them as languages. Japanese's grammar is far easier than German, but the reading and writing is tougghhh. And they both have a lot of borrowed words.

Ah just a little thing left: words like immer or oft, etc. are always placed after the verb. Like: "In anderen Unterrichtsstunden (=lessons) sprechen wir immer in Deutsch." But apart from that really really good <3
