THAT is the FILM of all generation of HUMAN race! Nothing can beat it up, never! Even now after 10+ been #1 on the box office for probably 4 weeks, beating up new big movies like "money ball", I mean what is any other movie compare to lion king. It was, and still IS a phenomena! I cried back then, and cried even NOW, when I saw it again. So thank you all people worked on that very bright piece of human race history for just achieving such a remarkable work, lasts humanity should last! Thank you

Timeless is a word over used. But for once, there is an exception.Disneys finest. Although Disney these days tries to cut corners in production and has shattered its own reputation for it. By comparison Studio Ghibli hasn't released a piece of work without passion oozing out of it which is why its reputation is so great. Its inspiring to see these animators and how this was produced. The Lion King will never be forgotten. And has to be the most emotionally captivating animation i have ever seen.

I have been waiting about 6 years for The Lion King to be republished and now there is only about a month left for where I live. I do have the VHS, but it just isn't the same. Still I always watch it every now and then, it's my favorite animated movie ever if not even THE favorite movie ever. Even though I have watched the movie so many times that I almost know every single line by heart I won't hesitate to watch it again and again on the Blu-ray video I'm going to buy or in the movie theater.

RIP Roy Disney. Under him Disney was better and made films that touched the hearts of all people. The Lion King is more than a Disney or animated masterpiece, the movie itself will go down as one of the best of all times. Thanks for posting! I haven't seen this since I was eight or nine years old, so it really made my day. It's criminal that Disney didn't put it on the 2003 DVD and won't for the upcoming Blu-ray.

I can't thank you enough for posting this! I taped it on the Disney Channel when I was 12 years old on VHS, and lost it to time and as media changed. I miss this era of Disney and Traditional Animation so much. They used to present their films with such love and reverence, and these behind the scenes specials were an annual event for me that heralded in Summer and the newest inspiration for my path as an artist. This is such a blessing to watch again for the first time in 17 years! Bless you! :)

When a Disney animation was released in my childhood it wasn't a cartoon with singing, it was an event. We saw it at the cinema, we bought the videos, bought the clothes, had the toys. We even had 'Cinema Night' the day the VHS was released, the entire neighborhood was invited and we'd make special trays and foods. It was an EVENT. I miss THIS Disney. Thank you x

Thank you so much! I REALLY hope that on the Blu-Ray release they have more stuff like this. Behind the scenes with the actors and creators and such. The 2003 release was such a disappointment from a Special Features standpoint.

@chandloski It took me forever to navigate through the special features of 2003's DVD pressing (not consumer friendly). Disney also needs to stop dragging its feet and release the complete score already. I've only waited, oh, 17 years!
