Here is something I just noticed. When Edward pushes Bella out of the way she cuts her arm and there is even more blood. If Jasper has such a violent reaction when he sees only a very very small amount of blood why aren't the other vampires dog pilling on Bella to get a taste of the blood.

I agree. The movies suck, but the books are really good. I'm sure someone has answered this, but just to be safe I'm going to. In twilight, werewolves transform when they're angry. The longer they're a werewolf, the better they can control their anger. They can't choose when to change. And ya, when I first watched the movie, I thought it would be really hard to understand if you didn't read the books.

also... i agree about the werewolf thing... and you have a point... but in the fourth book it explains that they are not really werewolves. that the real werevolves live somewhere else and that the vampires hunted them to near extinction... that jacob and his pack are actually called children of the moon. and in the third book they explain how their ancestors began to phase into wolves and why. so they phase at will because vampires are near. the full moon has nothing to do with it

Also, she doesn't actually fall in love with Jacob as she does with Edward. She does love him as a best friend, and there are moments later in the series that she does have a thought of "what if" but she never really considers being with him.

Anyway, all of that being said, I actually agree that the movie is terrible. Its okay as a companion but there are major plot holes in the movie. So, I hope my statements at least cleared some things up on that movie.

And I do think that people have gotten very obsessive over this. The hype has absolutely ruined the series for many, including me. I still love the series, but I'm annoyed with the hype. Its not that damn amazing. Jacob is a lycanthrope.They are essentially werewolves but can change at will. Its not a full moon thing. So that actually is not like the change on vampire lore, which was odd, but I admire Meyers for being that daring to actually go against the norm. It is part of lore as well.

(con.) Also, there are explanations for why Bella's blood is so special. Apparently it is just that appealing to them--the smell. Think food. The Washington to Arizona, thing, if I remember correctly (its been a few years since I read the book.), the Cullens were tracking James to get him before he got her, and Bella refused to stay behind-because of Edward, and so as to not bring harm to her father. But, as I said, I would need to look back at that to be sure. So theres the answer to that.

I totally agree with you that Twilight was not made for people who had not read the book. And the book became huge recently with middle school fangirl types. I read it prior to that when it was just starting to become popular.

The books are amazing. They are, and there are not near as many plot holes. And a lot of it is not as overly dramatic. Though it does get to be dramatic.

Well, if you can't understand, then you must be one-sided as you so proudly stand. The meaning of this video as to question the amount of effort and time that is going into this. Look at book adaptations like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Shining. Those are adaptations that are great(though I have never read any of the books, they were good movies). I agree with you about the movie. I am an avid Twilight fan, and yes I am a girl, but I liked the book, not the movie. I think this was because casting believable people to play these charactors would be impossible itself, and books made into movies always leave the important explain to why certian events happened. I think if you are going to see the next 3 movies, you should read the books if you want to fully understand why things happen =) thanks for the good review!
