I'm not surprised 88% of Slough supported Powell.
Ethnics are now the majority in slough, I have walked into shops and have not been able to converse with the shop keeper as they did not speak English. My Brother goes to school in Slough, in a class of around 25, there will be an average of FOUR white people in his classes.

Roy Hattersley entered Parliament in 1963 as MP for 'Birmingham Sparkbrook'. The seat was a 'marginal' constutuency held by the Tory MP on a 900 vote majority. Sparkbrook had a very high proportion of 'immigrant' population, and Roy Hattersley was able to secure their vote for the next eight elections. I believe a University Research Study on the impact and 'distribution' of immigration on voteing patterns in marginal constituencies would be very revealing, and well worth the effort!

I live in Hackney and saw a group of little school children, about 50 of them, on a school outing. I hate to say it, it wasn't just a majority of them were coloured. They ALL were. Not a single white child among them. Perhaps this is what Powell was talking about. They were all absolutely delightful, as children always are. However, people of Afro-Caribbean descent have no significant cultural difference from Britain. Any differences have actually been of huge benefit. The US gave amnesty to 2 million illegals in 1988, that policy failed, nobody had the balls to do anything, now there are 10 million. With Obama and the Democrats in charge, amnesty is a matter of time.
