Make opiates legal to adults over 25 with no felony record. Some pharmacies still carry the old Oxycontins you can tell the old Oxys from the new ones easily. The ones without the coating on em have OC on em while the new shitty ones have OP on them also the color is a little different I dont know what mg you have, but my 40 mgs are a little darker shade of mustard yellow. Got into oxy's at work and it was my miracle drug. It gave me painless energy, patience, a perfect euphoria, and it made me able to talk to people effortlessly and without fear in a way that people thought i was the shit. Then I felt useless without them so the cycle of addiction started and my money disappeared.
@66jesko you'll change your mind when you snort half an 80 of oxy. weed is good, but i like oxy more. if you do it, limit yourself as much as possible. more than a month apart from each oxy high if possible. keeps your tolerance down, and you likely won't get dependant if you can control yourself for that long

One of my best friends has been taking it for like 11 years as prescribed and he is fully functioning but without them he would have to stay in the hospital to curb his pain. I joined the class-action lawsuit against Oxycontin makers "Purdue-Pharma" in Canada. The co. lied to us and physcians, and said the drug was not addictive. 6 years of hell for me...could not sleep in my bed...had to sleep in my chair...and only for 90 minutes a day. When my doctor moved away...no other doc would help me...i went cold turkey and suffered greatly. The bastards owe me big time.

@bloodyhel456 oxycontin is an opiate like heroin but heroin passes the bbb(blood brain barrier) much quicker oxycontin is oxycodone and heroin is diacetlymorphine which is much more potent eupohoric wise then oxycodone therefore heroin is more addictive you give someone free heroin or free oxycontin i bet you they will take heroin.

I think modern medicine is a great thing, but this stuff turns people into drug addicted zombies. I personally prefered the "good old days" when people were addicted to crack or heroin. At least the police could disrupt the heroin/crack distributers every now and then. With this stuff the police can do nothing to disrupt its distribution and the only winners are the mighty pharmacutical companies.

Have you heard of the movie "Limitless"? Similar feeling when using this drug. It makes certain social situations very easy to manage. You will be content doing whatever you are doing while using this drug. However one must realize that you can't take it forever. There has to be a time where you stop. Self-discipline is key. Take it twice a month and know when to stop otherwise it will become the Devil Drug

I suggest that you, and anyone else who is a past or current opioid user/abuser, research the neurochemisrty regarding opioids.

I highly doubt that is possible. Like I said before, I am aware that zinc / calcium / magnesium supplements will slow the developement of opioid tolerance and possibly minimize physical symptoms of opioid withdrawal,...

Got into oxy's at work and it was my miracle drug. It gave me painless energy, patience, a perfect euphoria, and it made me able to talk to people effortlessly and without fear in a way that people thought i was the shit. Then I felt useless without them so the cycle of addiction started and my money disappeared.

@66jesko you'll change your mind when you snort half an 80 of oxy. weed is good, but i like oxy more. if you do it, limit yourself as much as possible. more than a month apart from each oxy high if possible. keeps your tolerance down, and you likely won't get dependant if you can control yourself for that long

i envy anybody who is trying to get off of drugs especially pain meds and heroin. when i was strung out on the 80s a few times a day. then my doctor passed away from drug addiction. it took me another month to get my meds refilled. omg talk about two weeks of hell now. first day makes ya think that it wont be so bad. the second day it starts climbing by the third day you are at a peak on detox and begging for something. after the fifth day it is come and go detox pains. hang in there .

@AbductedGamer No, it's not if a doctor prescribed it to you for a legitimate condition and you take it AS DIRECTED. It IS terrible to abuse to get high. You're right that weed should be legal, because in a free country every adult has the right to do whatever they want to their own body (get a tattoo, eat glue, get fat, exercise, have sex or do drugs). This has nothing to do with Oxycontin. :)
When used correctly, Oxycontin is a very good drug; a life saver for millions. Just like every drug.

One of my best friends has been taking it for like 11 years as prescribed and he is fully functioning but without them he would have to stay in the hospital to curb his pain.
