@lukuntri - some would say that the court of the crimson king is, by definition, hell ("crimson king" being a euphemism for the devil) so saying this lady's cover "must go to hell" can be construed as a compliment. I've heard that John Mellencamp's "Little diddy about Jack and Diane" is playing on Hell's intercom system - automatic repeat. I hope that isn't true, this lady doesn't deserve that.
I hate to blaspheme against Crimso, and I love the original. Love it. But I can't deny that from now on whenever I'm in the Court of the Crimson King - I'm going to also want to visit the Hall of the Mountain King. There's no accounting on matters of taste. But I don't think this'll replace the original as the definitive version like Aretha's r.e.s.p.e.c.t. replaced Otis Redding.
I think this could replace the original as the definitive version for this song. It's amazing what female vocals does for ITCOTCK. The overall haunting sorrowful tone is well complemented by the energetic menace of the rapidfire drum electric guitar peer gynt detour. - it seems to almost complete the song in a way. I also miss the mellotron. I wonder what fripp thinks. This version is spiritually moving. Saxon's cover is just Eh (at best) compared to this or the original.
Sorry but...this version sucks. I'll have to agree with the other comments. If you want to hear a good cover of this song listen to the SAXON version.
Bien !
Mais l'original est INÉGALABLE !!!!
Ceux qui disent l'inverse devraient ré-écouter KING CRIMSON !!!!
Ici il manque la profondeur !

Hey There Metalheads and Earth Dogs as well, this version and the SAXON version are both excellent-grow up.
Comparing a Prog band to a Metal band is kinda apples and oranges is it not.

Sorry, but these guys suck. Saxon makes a better rendition, believe me. Check them out instead.

Wonderful, Magical ! I knew that this song would be (also) perfect in a woman´s voice. Lana Lane made the best thing in her life covering this hymn.

Found that by incident - no, wrong word: pure LUCK suits better as it is a cool cover, very energetic!
