  • They did not use any gloves when handle the needles or bloody Haidas. I wonder what the prevalence of hepatitis there?

  • i had cupping sessiongs in hong kong, the so called chinese medicine practitioner use needles first and then she put cups on my stomach,As tge result of several sessions of that kind,i developed extra abdominal pain that laster for about ayear.no need to mention that every session cost me 200 hk dollars

  • @jimanHK But cupping is also being done in western medicine. The Germans call it "schröpfen".

  • Not sure about the cupping process. I would prefer Kiatsu or Shiatsu. Anytime tissue damage is caused by a therapy process it seems adverse to healing.

  • Empty Mind Films rule...

They are virtually alone when it comes to making high quality, well researched documentaries on martial arts and Asian culture.

  • great film. congratulations, You make always a wonderful work!

  • "Heavy bruising" but it's completely painless. More like a hickie than a bruise.

  • @liverqiconstraint

Agreed. They look absolutely brutal, but really are nothing more than a mark on the skin. I have students (I teach in Taiwan) that have had this done. They look like they're gone nine rounds with an octopus, but it is totally painless. (And if a four year old can handle it... an adult sure should.)

    :)
