I got close to Rafi Sahib at a Shankar Jaikishen Night in Bombay in the 60s. I had a backstage pass through a friend whose father was a senior musician in the Playback Musicians Association. I got Mohamed Rafi's autograph, I held his Cocacola while he wrote his name in my book. It was an unbelievable experience,,Rafi smiled so sincerely at me. In fact, he smiled all the time throughout his short, great life.

Alas, I lost the book which had many super stars autographs from that memorable night!
