  • Do you know if it's ok to stick one leg out behind you to counter balance the object as you lift?

  • I'm not sure. Probably it would be ok, the main thing is to keep your back straight and to not bend forward too far.

  • @Kalidasab It's a bit tougher to balance both laterally and front/back. On the plus side, you do not need to flex the hip of the base leg as much if you have the other as a counterweight. With 2 legs on ground, hips need to go back further to keep from falling forwards.
