Why do humans always want a chance for a new beginning? To screw things up like they did with this planet before? Rape, prostitution, robbery, lies, bad intentions, murder, destruction of all forms of life, hunting and fishing. Don't give me that: "we just kill animals to eat." That's still a sin. Pulling a battery and altenator out of an suv and sticking them right into a diesel truck is not possible, not to mention rigging up a radio antenna to start a fried computer system on a car is silly at best. And finally, going from Seattle to the Mariana Trench in a day in an old Soviet diesel submarine doesn't get it done, either, but hey, why research what you're doing by using 5 minutes to call a neighborhood garage; that's just WAY too time consuming, right?

you have to overlook some of the bad acting on sci fi channel. I've noticed they seem to use a lot of rookie actors.

these tend to be low budget pictures, but I enjoy watching them, there's really so little sci fi movies made today.

Yeah, Polar Storm was a good movie. The most blatant fault I could see: Subs cannot traverse that kind of depth (8000m+). Record is like close to 1000m. Latest subs usually only 400-600 meters.
