  • How did they fit this 3litre monster inside the metro?

  • @paulsu27 Throw away the back seats and boot, and put it in the middle :D Mid engined, 4 wheel drive with a wheelbase just under 8 feet = little monster :D

  • Austin Rover withdrew from the rallying scene at the end of the season, but in 1987 all the parts and engines were sold to Tom Walkinshaw Racing, whereupon the V6 engine reappeared under the bonnet of the Jaguar XJ220, this time with turbochargers added.

  • The original group B rally cars were non turbo engines. Once group B got banned, people entered them into rallycross where more started to appear with turbos. I think you are right about the XJ220 too. Im sure the base engine is the same. They just made modifications to it. i.e turbos.

  • @GeordieStomps You wrong, all group B car was originally built turbo EXCEPT the 6R4. Lets take the Audi S1 for instinct Twin Turbo ;) Peace

  • yes i thort thay was turboed .. is it like the engin in the xj220?

  • I always thought these were turbod!

Must have just been the relly cross ones that I saw that were!
