  • I have an original 1953 F100, use it every day, nowhere near as clean as this, but still a grest truck.

  • @rodtemplar Hey, Rod! These trucks never seem to die! Congrats! :) Jack

  • amazing

Americans have nice stylish classic cars

I hope that I can visit United States, buy a classic pickup or sport car and bring it to Dubai

  • @HumaidAUS I think that would be a great idea...you might time your visit with a classic car auction or make arrangements with a classic car dealer. I would definitely urge you to inspect the car, and have a trusted mechanic inspect it also before you buy. It's so much better to see the car before you buy rather than "hope for the best" when it is shipped to you! Good luck! :) Jack

  • @raconter1 It is really good idea to check the car before buying it. The problem that we face in UAE that we cannot find spare parts for these classic car specially made in America. We might find for old Nissan patrol, Toyota Land Cruiser, GTr or Z. Also we can’t buy it from the internet because they don’t ship it to Middle East. My father suffers from this problem; he has an old GMC Jimmy, we can't even find a headlamp!!!

  • @HumaidAUS Sorry to hear that....I wonder if individual parts suppliers would use UPS or FedEx to ship...HemmingsMotorNews has many suppliers who might be able to arrange shipping. Good luck! :) Jack

  • The 53 to 56 Ford pickups are very stylish; almost car like. Chevy didn’t catch up with styling until 55. I didn’t know you could OD on a 53 pickup. I had a 53 Customline with OD and it was a handy option for highway cruising. 1953 was the Golden Anniversary and this new design was sure a nice way to celebrate 50 years. Nice to see one in such great shape and I wish I was. It is a shame that they play such loud music at these shows because I really enjoy when you can talk to owners. Thanks

  • @cheddyrod Hey, Chester! I agree...compared to what went before, these were really deluxe. That t-handle puzzled me until I asked the owner about it...it was an option at the time. Yeah, overdrive was a very good choice at the time...really allowed the engine to loaf at cruising speed. I'm resigned to editing videos now...the only exception may be Old Town....sad that compromises must be made. Thanks! :) Jack

  • Can't wait to show my dad this one Jack. He got me hooked to the sound the flathead makes and this one is nice!

  • @mi777ke777 Glad you like, Mike! I'm glad your dad will see this. The good old flathead had plenty of fans and speed equipment! Thanks! :) Jack
