well look at it this way.... Six Flags might have mechanical Issues.. but other than the recent incident with the girl on the Superman Tower, there's barely any fatalities.. Unlike Disney's theme parks which have fatalities almost every year.
true but we have a deja vu from six flags great america at silverwood theme park. it was sold to us and now the thing runs great. hardly any problem. its now called aftershock.
yes in fact it did. they had a problem with the cable and the ride didnt make it through the entire thing. I was on it. we were there for 3 hours. it sucked.
@NorthwestCoasters17 oh i get it it's just that my friend went 2 SFOG and saw this kinda thing hppnd and wen i went twice b4 it wuz taken outta the park it wuz closed anyways so... yeah XD
over in idaho at silverwood we got the deja vu from six flags great adventure in chicago. We renamed it aftershock. I got stuck on it for 3 hours once. It was really bad.
I worked at Six Flags Marine Wolrd in 2000 and was working White Whater Safari in the crontrol booth (crows nest), and I saw the ride The Boomerang (like this one), cable snap and got stuck in the cobra loop. Wasn't a fun day, a lot of PR's and media, plus it was dreadfully hot, so a lot of the victims of the ride got sent to the hospital from dehydration.
because the catch car didnt catch it a sensor was activated telling itself that something wrong happened and the emergency breaks brought it to a stop.
just because a ride moves to a new park it still breaks down once in a while. coasters & rides break down all the time no matter what park is managing them & no this Dejavu is still at Six Flags Magic Mountain the Dejavu that got moved to Silverwood came from Six Flags Great America in Chicago.
ya well you might want to tell that to the guys running it. anyways i know that the one in the video is still at SFMM and that the one at silverwood is is SFGA. and trust me i know that the one is georgia is gone and the one in spain is still there.
@kaboda317 i know this is in california. I was talking about where all the GIB coasters are now. Stunt fall is in Spain, Deja vu is still at SFMM, Deja vua nd SFGAm is at Silverwood, and Deja vu at SFOG is in Brazil renamed Sky Mountain.(shitty name)
Translation (straight off google translator) - The train Deja Vu is not the rope snaps of the second tower and then fails to complete the journey. The brakes stop the train, which is then released and made swing until it stops and then address the passengers.
that just happened at silverwood this summer. hasn't even been built a month and the damn thing got stuck. luckily i wasn't on it, but it got stuck the day after i rode it.
Trust me you don't wanna be stuck on a roller coaster... I got stuck on Deja Vu one time too... it sucked... i got stuck when we were just starting to go backwards... then the roller coaster started to roll backwards and this guy's thing that goes over ur head was starting to come up and he was fucking freaking out... cuz we were still going backwards...
that sux! iv gotn stuck on a ride a coupke of times! like wen i got stuck rite at the top of golaith! its started to roll back down and then, "tas", it stops rite there!
im not a real true fan of vekoma, every ride they bulid is always the same, same make and model, unlike Arrow (now S&S Power-Arrow) or B&M they use the same styles of ride but just change the track layout
is that one at Disney in florida?? i havent been to there yet. Yeah i like B&M too. my friend works at Magic Mountain and said that their rides are the best, he hardly has any problems with, unlike Arrow Dynamics (now S&S power)and Intamin AG
i no intamin has problems with the rocket coasters and like superman, the escape. but idk how their other coasters r. yes, rock n roller coaster is in florida. its not like the most intense coaster or anything, its just fun. i like Hulk, at Universal Orlando. its so much fun
but intamin still make their rides fun though, i like them, they might keep doing launch coasters but at least every layout is different UNLIKE VEKOMA
lol, i no right? intamin...they're rides r pretty cool. i luv superman, ros at sfne. but idk about the rocket coasters. storm runner was great the first 1 or 2 times, but after that its kinda not worth going on it cause its so short and u have enough time to enjoy it
i actually like the rocket coasters, i havent been on storm runner or kingda or ttd, but man there prototype Xcleator (or however the spell it lol) is a fucking good one, 82mph in 2.3 secs. not fast like Kingda or Top Thrill but still people rated the shortest and most intense launch ever, and man what a launch it is
i havnt been able to get out to california for that, but i went on hypersonic at King's Dominion. that was crazy. 0-80 in 1.8. it was the fasting thing i've ever seen. i havnt been on a rocket coaster except storm runner, actualy, but they're all so short (as is hypersonic)
yea, it uses compressed air instead of hydraulic fluids. its still a rediculus launch though. the whole ride is literaly 10 seconds long, thats the only downside. in xcellerator, wen u first got in the seats, did they feel a little small? like not deep enough?
it sounds like its a crazy ass launch, going that fast that quick, well when you first step in the trains it is hard to step in, it is a little small to get in the trains, but once you settle in its not that bad
yea, i was just wondering cause wen i got into storm runner, i kinda felt half off the seat, like the back of it was too far forward. mabey i was just used to B&M style trains cause they're so deep. (im not fat, lol, at all, im a runner).
the worst for me r the Arrow OTSRs, like on Loch Ness Monster, just because the restraints r so close to the side of the car its tough to squeeze your hand in between the restraint and the side of the car. but other then that most of them r fine, the best being B&M's clamshells
on Disney's Califorina Screamin at Califorina Advenutre was like that too, the restraints were uncomfortable and it hurt my arms becasue i was trying to raise my arms
lol, that ride looks pretty cool. california looks like it has a ton of awesome rides, the only problem is i live in new england. i wanna go to knott's berry farm and magic mountain and stuff, and watever that former six flags park is called now. used to be Marine World
its pretty fun, yeah our state has a lot of rides, but most of the theme parks close during the winter, manily in upper CA, but parks like, Magic Mountain, Disneyland, Knott's, Universal which is pretty cool if you like to see behind the scenes of movies, and Legoland are like the only ones that stay open all year around
universal in orlando is pretty cool too. they're second park, Islands of Adventure is my favorite park in florida, and everything in florida is year round. new england has almost no rides except for the Six Flags, which is alright. Superman, ride of steel is amazing, but other then that its mediocre. we usualy go to florida or pennsylvania or somethin like that (hershey park is insane)
islands of adventure looks pretty cool, yeah Superman ride of school looks like its fun, so other then that that Six Flags is boring?? only other park ive been at out of Ca is one in Utah, outside of Salt Lake City
that six flags...eh. the Batman coaster they got there is short but good, a B&M floorless. Scream, the drop tower isnt bad, but its just like any other drop tower. mind eraser sux (vekoma slc), flashback sux (vekoma boomerang), and the wooden ones r average. a little jerky, but not downright bad. its rly the only place close to where i live though, other hten that its like a long weekend kidna trip. which park in Utah?
yeah we have a Batman ride too at our park. it is short but its still one of my faverites there at the park, yeah i went to Knott's Berry Farm this past tuesday and i went on bommerang (vekoma of course) and i really got to the point that i dont like that ride that much, the park that i went too was Lagoon
idk lagoon. the boomerang at sfne is literaly my least favorite ride i've ever been on. i have no desire to ride any other boomerang. same with the slc, but thats not quite as bad. i'll take a good wooden coaster over a vekoma ride any day
yeah lagoon was a ok theme park, yeah i would too also take a good wooden ride anyday, i was gonna go on Ghostrider at Knott's Berry Farm but they had to keep it closed the whole day becasue of the wind, it was bearly any wind too, but i guess it stalls the trains on the track
that coaster looks crazy. thats one of the main reasons i wanna go to knotts, that, xcellerator, and that new inverted coaster they got, well not new, but their B&M inverted coaster. i also wanna get to renegade at valleyfair. that ride looks insane
it is man, if you really like getting wiped around sit toward the very back, xcellator is fun as hell, the launch is really insane, oh yeah that one Sliver Bullet, talk about one of the smoothest rides i have ever ridden, oh yeah the renegade, i saw that being bulit on tv on Build it Bigger it looks like its fun as hell
all B&M coasters r rediculusly smooth. its crazy how they do it. renegade is like top on my list of coasters i wanna ride. so far, the best wooden coaster i've been on is hershey park's lightning racer. theres nothing rly special about it except it both races, and the 2 tracks will charge at each other and kinda hop around each other. its just so much fun. last summer i went on it 10 times in an hour and never got bored
i like it more then storm runner, which is hershey's rocket coaster. rides like the rocket coasters...they're great the first couple times, but after u've gone on like 3 times, they get boring. and they're so short, once the initial thrill is gone and you know wat its like, theres no time to have fun on them
to me thats like the whole point on most launch coasters is the launch part, but i know where your coming from, i kind feel the same way for the rollercoaster Speed:The Ride in Las Vegas, the 2 launch parts on the ride are the best
well the launch is one of the better parts of it. but, i think i've mentioned it b4, the incredible hulk coaster at universal has an uphill launch but theres also a decent layout to the ride. granted, the launch is only 0-40 in 2 seconds, but u get 7 inversions and like over 2 minutes of ride time. its also B&M, their only launch coaster as far as i've heard
its pretty much my favorite steel coaster, even more then superman. but just barely. idk if that'll change or not if i get the chance to go on millennium force or somethin like that. that rides suposed to be insane
definaly. i'd do dragster probably, but i wouldnt wait over an hour for it jsut because its so short. now they got maverick, which looks pretty cool too. i basicaly wanna go on every coaster there insanely badly, lol. theres so many places i wanna go just because of the coasters
i wouldnt mind waiting over an hour for that ride,i waited over 3 hours for X at Six Flags Magic Mountain, yeah same here i like to go to many places becasue of some of the rides there
yeah its a pretty fun ride, its kind of rough though, right now its closed until spring, i guess Six Flags is doing like a $10 million dollar redo of it to make it more 5th D. like a new tunnel, audio and visual effects and new trains, i hope that'll make it much smoother
yeah that flippin on X is crazy lol, superman is cool, dont bother waiting in line for it if its longer then 30mins. its to short lol, goliath is fun as hell, the drop seems like it takes forever, also the double helix on is so intense its not even funny lol
i've heard that helix on goliath is insane. thats probly wat i wanna go on most at magic mountain. they tore down psyclone though, taht looked pretty good
rly? it looked pretty good. it looked better then cyclone. and it can't be rougher then Hurler at King's Dominion. thats the worst wooden coaster i've ever been on, they have copies at wat used to be other paramount parks
like all of my friends liked it though, i dont get it. i went on it in like mid morning, and went on rly 1 real ride for the rest of the day cause i was just so like...shaken up. i just didnt wanna do anything, it sucked, lol
Your a moron. Yes, Vekoma makes clones of certain rides, but do you know how many times they have gotten Ride of the Year? Once again...do your research!
AND WHY SHOULD I DO MY FUCKING RESARCH???? i FUCKING HATE VEKOMA. the main resaon why they had to take down their rides becacue their SHIT and or becasue SIX FLAGS INC. was in debt like dumb shit because they cant keep up with parks like Cedar Fair and Disney
They didn't take it down. It is still there. They are taking the DejaVu's down at Six Flags Great America and Over Georgia. Do the research. Magic Mountain still have DejaVu
I am really sorry! I thought you were talking about the one at Magic Mountain! The commene above about Six Flags GA was not there. My bad! I really apologize for being rude!
there are e-brakes on the loop before the second verticle lift so after the catch car didnt... well catch the ride valleyed then the e-brakes engadged making it stall
No, on vekoma boomerang coasters of any sort there are brakes at specific spots to do just waht they did in this video. So that way they dont have to wait an hour or so to get people off of the train.
AWESOME! I knew something was up when it dropped early without slowing down, it didn't have enough momentum to reach the second catch car... and I JUST posted a video of a similar incident...
Hmmm, It looks to have worked fine on the first spike. It got maybe 5 feet from the top. The timere that control the catch cars probably malfunctioned. While I am a Vekoma fanatic, I WILL say that using timers instead of proximity sensors was incredibly stupid.
Oh this happened at Great America, but after the loop. This is normal, they just built a platform under the loop. And why is everything here in spanish?
This break down is normal. What happened it six flag great america is NOT normal in the least. Do you even have any idea as to what happened? Not only did the Catcher on the second lift fail, but so did the breaks. It was horrible...RESEARCH PEOPLE!

yeah we have a Batman ride too at our park. it is short but its still one of my faverites there at the park, yeah i went to Knott's Berry Farm this past tuesday and i went on bommerang (vekoma of course) and i really got to the point that i dont like that ride that much, the park that i went too was Lagoon
Rcp123190 4 years ago
idk lagoon. the boomerang at sfne is literaly my least favorite ride i've ever been on. i have no desire to ride any other boomerang. same with the slc, but thats not quite as bad. i'll take a good wooden coaster over a vekoma ride any day
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
yeah lagoon was a ok theme park, yeah i would too also take a good wooden ride anyday, i was gonna go on Ghostrider at Knott's Berry Farm but they had to keep it closed the whole day becasue of the wind, it was bearly any wind too, but i guess it stalls the trains on the track
Rcp123190 4 years ago
that coaster looks crazy. thats one of the main reasons i wanna go to knotts, that, xcellerator, and that new inverted coaster they got, well not new, but their B&M inverted coaster. i also wanna get to renegade at valleyfair. that ride looks insane
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
it is man, if you really like getting wiped around sit toward the very back, xcellator is fun as hell, the launch is really insane, oh yeah that one Sliver Bullet, talk about one of the smoothest rides i have ever ridden, oh yeah the renegade, i saw that being bulit on tv on Build it Bigger it looks like its fun as hell
Rcp123190 4 years ago
all B&M coasters r rediculusly smooth. its crazy how they do it. renegade is like top on my list of coasters i wanna ride. so far, the best wooden coaster i've been on is hershey park's lightning racer. theres nothing rly special about it except it both races, and the 2 tracks will charge at each other and kinda hop around each other. its just so much fun. last summer i went on it 10 times in an hour and never got bored
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
all of them really are, lightning racer sounds like its fun
Rcp123190 4 years ago
i like it more then storm runner, which is hershey's rocket coaster. rides like the rocket coasters...they're great the first couple times, but after u've gone on like 3 times, they get boring. and they're so short, once the initial thrill is gone and you know wat its like, theres no time to have fun on them
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
to me thats like the whole point on most launch coasters is the launch part, but i know where your coming from, i kind feel the same way for the rollercoaster Speed:The Ride in Las Vegas, the 2 launch parts on the ride are the best
Rcp123190 4 years ago
well the launch is one of the better parts of it. but, i think i've mentioned it b4, the incredible hulk coaster at universal has an uphill launch but theres also a decent layout to the ride. granted, the launch is only 0-40 in 2 seconds, but u get 7 inversions and like over 2 minutes of ride time. its also B&M, their only launch coaster as far as i've heard
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
i heard about that ride, i think i've seen it on tv before, it looks like a prety cool fun ride
Rcp123190 4 years ago
its pretty much my favorite steel coaster, even more then superman. but just barely. idk if that'll change or not if i get the chance to go on millennium force or somethin like that. that rides suposed to be insane
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
yeah millenium force looks like its crazy but fun at the same time, if i ever go to cedar point soon thats one of the first rides i'll go on
Rcp123190 4 years ago
definaly. i'd do dragster probably, but i wouldnt wait over an hour for it jsut because its so short. now they got maverick, which looks pretty cool too. i basicaly wanna go on every coaster there insanely badly, lol. theres so many places i wanna go just because of the coasters
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
i wouldnt mind waiting over an hour for that ride,i waited over 3 hours for X at Six Flags Magic Mountain, yeah same here i like to go to many places becasue of some of the rides there
Rcp123190 4 years ago
thats insane. is X even that good?? the most i've waited is for like storm runner, or mabey sheikra at busch tampa...about an hour
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
yeah its a pretty fun ride, its kind of rough though, right now its closed until spring, i guess Six Flags is doing like a $10 million dollar redo of it to make it more 5th D. like a new tunnel, audio and visual effects and new trains, i hope that'll make it much smoother
Rcp123190 4 years ago
lol, wow. all the extra seat flipping looks kinda...unnatural. though superman the escape doesnt look unnatural to me at all...lol. how's goliath?
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
yeah that flippin on X is crazy lol, superman is cool, dont bother waiting in line for it if its longer then 30mins. its to short lol, goliath is fun as hell, the drop seems like it takes forever, also the double helix on is so intense its not even funny lol
Rcp123190 4 years ago
i've heard that helix on goliath is insane. thats probly wat i wanna go on most at magic mountain. they tore down psyclone though, taht looked pretty good
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
oh yeah that helix is really intense, your pulling like 4 or 4.25 g's on the helix, psyclone was kind of wack, way to rough, it wasnt even that fun
Rcp123190 4 years ago
rly? it looked pretty good. it looked better then cyclone. and it can't be rougher then Hurler at King's Dominion. thats the worst wooden coaster i've ever been on, they have copies at wat used to be other paramount parks
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
yeah, a lot of people that i know also said that they did not like that much
Rcp123190 4 years ago
like all of my friends liked it though, i dont get it. i went on it in like mid morning, and went on rly 1 real ride for the rest of the day cause i was just so like...shaken up. i just didnt wanna do anything, it sucked, lol
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
haha yeah?
Rcp123190 4 years ago
im sooooo glad physclone was gone...ive been on every ride in that park and phyclone was the worst....pretty much broke your back
slipknotmaggott666 4 years ago
did it rly? it looks like it'd be pretty fun. but i guess u cant always tell with wooden coasters, even though they r fun
sloopjohnb9 4 years ago
same for ghostrider

Your a moron. Yes, Vekoma makes clones of certain rides, but do you know how many times they have gotten Ride of the Year? Once again...do your research!
CoasterDude101 4 years ago
AND WHY SHOULD I DO MY FUCKING RESARCH???? i FUCKING HATE VEKOMA. the main resaon why they had to take down their rides becacue their SHIT and or becasue SIX FLAGS INC. was in debt like dumb shit because they cant keep up with parks like Cedar Fair and Disney

R.I.P. Great America Deja Vu...2001-2007
cycamps 4 years ago
wuts that supposed to mean, did they take it down?
SLPRODUCTIONS1 4 years ago
Yeah they did. It's really unfortunate because it was one of my favorite rides...
cycamps 4 years ago
They didn't take it down. It is still there. They are taking the DejaVu's down at Six Flags Great America and Over Georgia. Do the research. Magic Mountain still have DejaVu
CoasterDude101 4 years ago
I am really sorry! I thought you were talking about the one at Magic Mountain! The commene above about Six Flags GA was not there. My bad! I really apologize for being rude!
CoasterDude101 4 years ago
It's alright. Thanks for apoligizing though.

Deja vu SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SJCoaster67 4 years ago
how the freak did that happen. It looks like it would hurt going that fast and then just going forward again, it honestly looks fake
kanggaroo02 4 years ago
The catch car did not engage on the second spike. It happens, nothing serious.
Ryan120420 4 years ago
there are e-brakes on the loop before the second verticle lift so after the catch car didnt... well catch the ride valleyed then the e-brakes engadged making it stall
KrazyJew109 4 years ago
But the one at great america was swinging back and forth, and people on the ride were having soo much fun
spunkycubster 4 years ago
Hmm seen it in line at SFGA, happened after the loop backwards, was kinds funny. Now they have a platform underneath the loop.
spunkycubster 4 years ago
Haha! I'd laugh so much if it was happening to me! =D Btw, I love that ride!! Front seat rocks!
coasteroli4 4 years ago
what the hell happend it went pretty fast than it stopped did u make it do that while editing?
sixflags42 4 years ago
No, on vekoma boomerang coasters of any sort there are brakes at specific spots to do just waht they did in this video. So that way they dont have to wait an hour or so to get people off of the train.
VFB1210 4 years ago
im pretty sure that i saw that happen once when i went there, but it was when they were test running it befoe they opened it up to the public
Rcp123190 4 years ago
AWESOME! I knew something was up when it dropped early without slowing down, it didn't have enough momentum to reach the second catch car... and I JUST posted a video of a similar incident...
infinitethrill 4 years ago
Hmmm, It looks to have worked fine on the first spike. It got maybe 5 feet from the top. The timere that control the catch cars probably malfunctioned. While I am a Vekoma fanatic, I WILL say that using timers instead of proximity sensors was incredibly stupid.
VFB1210 4 years ago
Oh this happened at Great America, but after the loop. This is normal, they just built a platform under the loop. And why is everything here in spanish?
spunkycubster 4 years ago
No, it's in italian! ;)
AncoNews 4 years ago
This break down is normal. What happened it six flag great america is NOT normal in the least. Do you even have any idea as to what happened? Not only did the Catcher on the second lift fail, but so did the breaks. It was horrible...RESEARCH PEOPLE!
CoasterDude101 4 years ago
wow what a bucnch of shit that was the brakes even failing, looks like we can trust the maintance crew really well or it was just a freak thing
Rcp123190 4 years ago

alepwc 4 years ago
No, perchè i freni sono chiusi per loro natura. Si aprono solo quando deve passare il treno. Quindi se manca corrente, ad esempio, i freni comunque sono in posizione chiusa e il treno viene sempre bloccato. ;)
