I didn't find it disgusting either! It doesn't seem like the gorilla is trying to harm it in any way, it just doesn't know it's dead. I can see how it probably was a little disturbing to see it up-close like that, but I found the girl's behavior more disgusting than the ape's.

Gorilla mothers carry their babies on their back, or sometimes under their belly, and the baby would firmly cling onto its mother. This gorilla seems to do the same, not realizing the duckling is dead. But even after a gorilla baby dies, the mother would carry it with her for many days or even weeks. - What I see in this gorilla's behavior is affection and the wish to protect, and to me it's not disgusting at all.
