  • I shall always listen to this enchanting and unique musique by Sacred Spirit. Peace to the World!

  • @eclpise96ful, thank you so much for sharing that info.

  • So what does Ly O Lay Ale Loya mean?

  • Hey Yo Lay….Lah Lay Loy Lah

Hey Yo …Hay Yo Lay… Lah Lay Loy Lah

Hey Yo Hay Oh Loy Ah Loy Lah

Hey Yo Hey Yo Lay ….Lah Lay Loy

  • but this version is still the best, the melody touches my heart. And the images are so colourful

  • God THis Music makes me so out from everything!

It's like i don't feel a part of this crazy modern living system!

...I mean i'm completely in IN CONTACT WITH the NATURE...!!!

  • Navacrow nation (:

  • The Native American peoples and their culture are so articulate and beautiful. They understand the universal laws of nature, and how to be in tune with all of Earth's sentient beings i.e. the elements, trees, grass, plants, animals etc. I think the Whiteman took a turn for the worse when they tried to decimate the Indians, and bury their heritage/culture with it. I do not praise the "Holy Bible" but instead I praise for the coming of the Archaic Revival, in the words of Terrence McKenna

  • bellissima.che meraviglia questa melodia.

  • I not need to argue, is beautiful, and good to my soul and my spirit, what do you prefer, rap, regueton, hip hop, or that kind of crap, my friend, i can proyect my self through this magic music and connect with my ancestor, whatever.

  • Oooo! Irene Bedard and Nathaniel Arcand. Two beautiful people.

  • Vejo vej, vadrigoria, vejo vej vadrigoria. imvovej vadrigoria!

  • Brings me back to earth!

  • music is par of the life . of our cultur music is conection with the mother hearth , is no importan wich melodie , just you need to feel when you sing and dancing and play , just that you will know when you understand that if you dont understand thta never be know what is the tru,,,, think about dont,,, childs,

  • no matter who you are done, the important thing is that it is a insperation almost wiped out our culture, good or bad language will not change anything, the simple words or bad not return to my people, good or bad plalabras not pay, my people almost exterminated, words our children will not plow back. words ami ara to help people to qe ara words my people continue to suffer or die of hunger every day, foolish words will not change anything,

  • i don't want to fight with nobody about this music , this music is one insperation about the native american ....

  • I personally am not calling my own people evil.

Misguided in their beliefs that they have to claim lands for power and deny others humanity when they themselves escaped their home lands for their freedom, yes.

And yes, they were much more in harmony than Americans are.

I've been educated in the history of America, I know the truths, and I find that immigrants DID destroy the Native Americans, took from them and still, to this day, abuse them.

  • So let me get this straight. All of you people are complaining about "evil" Europeans and calling native Americans "perfect", while listening to a European Sami joik? For the love of God, don't you people realise that Native Americans had wars too. They weren't living in perfect harmony with nature or living in some kind of magical hippi land.

They had their problems just like everyone else. I'm not condoning the attrocities against them, but please stop being such idiots.

  • Of course, I still love going back and looking at the epitome of what our cultures were, especially considering I have so many in my blood. :D

  • The problem with complaining about another 'culture' is that as of today the cultures have mostly all blended together to the point to where 'culture' doesn't exist. When is the last time your ethnicity has had an impact on the way you live as compared to the differently colored person next to you working the same job? I've worked with near pure-blood natives, black people of all varieties, chinese, mexican, jamaican, etc - We all go through the same hardships today.

  • We have the answer to all mankinds suffering.

it's just a problem that some want to cling to this perverse, rotten idea of selfish society.

all it would take is the press of a button.

  • beautiful music and video! *****

  • Has this song been settled as yet ?, scandanavian song but the native drums and flute brings it to a whole new life.

  • la beaute d'un monde vivant avec la nature et qu'on a rendu comme nous

  • la liberte ,le reve d'un peuple parmi ce monde moderne ,un peuple qui n'a rien demande que de vivre heureux sans nous

  • people change their religion because they cand find what they looking of what they want to feel. To be a human is a very dificul part of a universal being cause we fell in diferente believe, arrogances,we are still primitive we cant recognize the grandour of cultures, skin tones and lenguages.Money ,power, politicis, wars and negative proud,&prejudices have divided humanity.

  • why do Turks think they are Native Americans?

  • @SytheClaw cos they got red anus

  • @elgboytv lol

  • ah 240p... we meet again

  • Adoro este video!

tambem amo a cultura indigena que é rica e milenar

  • beautiful..

  • By the WAY scums. Official religion of my people is shamanism. I REALY hope. that theres somthing like nuclear war. That nature get rids of cancer that u are.

  • @Nameyerpoison Using the weapons you call, "Nuclear warheads" would be declaring war on mother earth and an insult to Creator. I really hope the leadds of the world consider this before turning the key.

  • @Caitlin afro americans are nothing like native americans, they lived on their land for thousands of years, one with nature, untill u euro scums came and comtited genocide, In my opinion native american genocide is the most terrible crime agains humanity that was ever done. And i am russian, mordwin, we are natives of the land we inhabit. Russians came but we still preserve our culture. Americans anglo saxons are the most evil in this world. Look how they still genocide Iraq and other contries.

  • quit bickering look it up on here the guy even said it wasnt native american they sampled it without the approval of the singer search Sacred spirit on wikipedia

  • We are all Shamanic in our roots. Modern "organized" religions tend to be about control of the masses. If you want to understand what happened to native cultures during European colonialism, look at what Europeans did to eachother first. Look at Julius Caesar's conquest of Gaul and later the expansion of Christianity via the Holy Roman Empire.

  • This is not Native American. This a stolen Sami joik -Normo Jovvna. Give credit to Sami

  • @lnordgra lol get a life my friend

  • @XxModernDayRaiderxX He's right, The main vocals are an authentic Sami joik called "Normo Jovnna" sung by Terje Tretnes, recorded in 1994 by Dutch Channel 4 during an interview as an example of a Joik. However, despite Channel 4's denying selling the recording, it ended up by mysterious ways in Virgin Records studio in Holland. The joik is about Normo Jovnna who got this joik after he fought with a bear with his bare hands

  • @lavahornet2 the native people have sung like this since before the joik singers even discovered clothes

  • @XxModernDayRaiderxX Sami joik and native american chanting do sound similar no doubt, but this song IS NOT NATIVE AMERICAN! It's presented as a native american chant but it's not. watch?v=dHiU36GDaEA This cover by Norwegian band AIGI of the original is the most true to the original.

  • @lavahornet2 watch?v=UQ0zPP7hV2I actually this is probably more true to the original

  • @lavahornet2 maybe they stole it from sacred spirit maybe they borrowed it?

  • @XxModernDayRaiderxX The Sami organisation Sámi kopiija have demanded royalties from Virgin Records but this has so far been unsuccessful. Sacred Spirit stole the song not the other way around. Sacred Spirit is from Germany BTW

  • @XxModernDayRaiderxX As if you would qualify to judge what a life is. Why dont you pow wow around this; you are less than the dribbling shit of a maggot to me.

  • @lnordgra i have a great life and what i am to you does no matter neither one of us is important yet in this world and probably never will be. but its how you live and how you die that makes you a great man

  • I hate the fact that it took me until my US history class to realize the pain of the Native Americans. Although a small percentage of me is native american, thats the part i cherish most because they are the ancestors who respected the earth and knew the true meaning of tolerance for others opinions which is something we should all learn from their culture.

  • Belo....

  • @lavahornet oh that sux i mean all this time i grew up with all them songs and there not native group and i guess Redbone is not native also thanx for that

  • HAHA First I laugh for one reason, I have listened to Sacred Spirit for years, and I never knew they had Music Videos, and that VH1 actually showed them in a word that is AWESOME!

Second I agree CaitlinIntolerant.... No one should should Stop mourning what happens to their people. If the Africans and Natives stopped mourning, Well you know the Saying History Repeats itself!.

  • 30.000 years ago Turks and Native Americans were same people on the /İSLAND MU / after 30.000 years, we have same words, same cultures, same habitats, same religion, same dna , this is creater's job .

  • @MrInsanolun Turks are Turks and indians or indians. Turks and indians dont have same culture. Who are you?? a Turk??

  • @MrInsanolun oh i see you are from Turkey. Not same culture you have with the native indians oke. Same religion?!? Who told you that?? They are not muslims oke. Dont change the history of this indians!!. I have indian blood too but my love is muslim, so dont think i hate muslims. But i am telling you they are not muslims!!

  • @lambada1972 i know they are not muslim, Indians were shamanist, aren't they ? we Turks were shamanist too.We started to believe muslim religion 1.000 years ago,but we have 10.000 years history before muslim religion. I am a muslim but i am not a radical muslim, i like all religions.

  • @lambada1972

maybe there are some native americans who converts to islam? i mean in mexico is islam a growin religion in the native american culture. so its not easy to say they are muslims or not...because you dont know all native americans and their opinion to the islam or other religions.

  • @Chronos06 You have lot of black people too who converts to islam!!, and other races!!. Turks are not indians!!, and not same culture!!!. Oke you are right about islam that some convert it or not. But if a Turk come here to tell that they have same religion than that is not true, because he mean all are muslims!!!. Arabs are arabs, blacks are blacks, indians are indians, Turks are Turks!!!! You are what you are!!!

  • @lambada1972

you are right. i dont think that native americans have the same culture like the Turks or are the same people.

  • @Chronos06 Thank you for understanding, but i understand you too. I have indian blood too and i am so proud of this culture!!. My fiancee is arabic and muslim, but he respect me and i respect him. I like indian spiritual music. It make me feel good and let me forget all the bad things at that moment.

  • @lambada1972

that sounds good :). i like both cultures...arabic and native american. both have many beautiful things in their culture. and both have beautiful women :D

  • @Chronos06 Thank you that is true.

  • beautiful music and video!

  • Fuck that kind democracy who destroy native people !

  • this is the people who should govern the world.. wisdom is knowledge

  • @kopynd1 Amen.

  • Excellent.

  • Very good !

  • for they have been domesticated unto false teachings

    taught by the preachings,

    instead of listening within.

A dream that has been invaded by a predator on man.

who teaches us their ways, yet remains hidden

and we as humanity with problems overidden.

by these needs that are false, within our society.

Return to origins eat naturally, be free

as it was destined to be wake up.

    the time is now humanity.

  • @CarlitaLova I think we need to help ourselves before we help others

  • @jizmacdacusha When we help Ourselves We help Others and the future

  • @CarlitaLova thats what i said

  • @jizmacdacusha Okkay cool :)

  • I looked up the song Normo Jowna...this song is complete copy of it, but it's not bad. It's origins however are in fact Scandinavian and not Native American

  • im Native all the way to those people that who are not Natives needs to keep there mouth shut this is my heritage we take offence of that so any Natives out there hit me up

  • @eclipse96ful The main vocals are an authentic Sami joik called "Normo Jovnna" sung by Terje Tretnes, recorded in 1994 by Dutch Channel 4 during an interview as an example of a Joik. However, despite Channel 4's denying selling the recording,it ended up by mysterious ways in Virgin Records studio in Holland. The joik is about Normo Jovnna who got this joik after he fought with a bear with his bare hands

This song is NOT Native American, but I definitely agree with you and I'm part native myself.

  • what tribe is in the vid?

  • This isn't native American, its Scandinavian. Look up normo jovvna.

  • I cry everytime I see this video, I am not a baby, so much suffering, get on the back of my harley, get your uzzi and lets go find some arrogant men in expensive suits.

  • UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ARE FIRST "DEMOCRATIC" COUNTRY, WHO DOES GENOCIDE OF AMERICAN INDIANS

  • There are no natives in any country just tribal migrations, changes and extinctions, for the celts for the german tribes, for all people. We are all brothers and sisters living on one big island in space. Why not respect our art and culture in all its forms. Respect.

  • when the world crys in the earth...will it trully heal the pain we all suffer? even if new life will be anew. all must remember we are brother and sisters. we need to stand be each other no matter what we are....Sorry random sounding

  • I love this song... It makes me so calm, just listening to the birds outside, playing in the garden ^^ Remembering how pretty nature is and how we have to keep her safe from white trash in the government that figure shooting wolves or other animals is ok, because they're so called dangerous and stuff.

  • In 1800 there were 20 million native Americans and 5 million whites. By 1900 there were 200,000 Native Americans and 75 million whites. Today more than 2 million. By 2050 which I hope you will see there is expected to be 4 million. There is hope, provided 'white eyes' stops speaking with 'forked tongue' and honours his Great White Chief treaties. The 600 Nations must speak as one voice. "Hockay hey"! Said by Crazy Horse,"It is a good time to die" - also the Bushido code of the Samurai. Peace

  • My favourite song ever! It calls something deep within me....thank you:)

  • beautiful tune. so peaceful and relaxing. Native American Indian people are lovely people who should be respected and not be hated. we r all humans,,,, and we should try to live in peave aand love one another

  • @mysterygirl20101 I agree, we are all a part of humanity and should live together as 'One' in love, peace and harmony. And it is possible to; First thing is each and every single one of us has to 'Choose' it as a part of there reality, not only think it but also 'be' it . We 'become' our experiences, experience what we think and think what we feel. Some people do not know how to feel, some people do not like to feel and some are confused; thus they hate the thing they cannot understand. Peace.

  • Que liiiiiindo!

    amo é maravilhoso!

  • Que liiiiiiiiiiiiiiindo!

    Amo e maravilhoso!

    os indios sao bonitos

  • @dipidulor

You've a right to feel how you feel,

but your ignorance to the depth of the situation is expressed in your displeasure in a culture expressing its pain.

Americans cry about the economy every day, yet recessions have happened for a long time.

African Americans have mourned the misfortunes that befell them,

    as have Native Americans.

You can't expect one culture to lay down and "stop crying" without looking at your own culture and understanding why people are how they are.

  • How such a beautiful culture was ravished by ignorance needs to be more openly voiced to the public, so that this won't happen again. We feed off of what the Native Americans have given us, and that which we've taken, and pay no tribute to them.

    Our culture is also theirs.

    Our life came from theirs.

    It's sad.

  • @CaitlinIntolerant nope, you came from Europe

  • ok respect to all american indians out there but please stop this heritage crap. "the white man took it away.." and sh*t. raise up and be strong people and stop crying

  • @dipidulor We need to move on, but you are just another heartless parasite, fuck you!

You would make a good man wearing a suit, talking shit and destroying. Fuck you!

  • @badattitude77769 Dude there are people dying in countries having no protection from sicknesses due to high costs of good vaccines and even greater problems. You are a fool if you think im heartless. I have seen people die in thier own shit over weeks due to heavy cancer (etc) with no family - not a fucking soul to mourn thier loss and THAT you asshole is somthing that strikes ones heartt. Not someone complaining about something he didnt even witness.

  • VERI GOOD I LIKEE

  • Mitakuye Oyasin. Beautiful video.

  • Is that Irene Bedard in the film? Looks kind of like her..

  • The symbolism in this video is well thought out. A young couple stays in a hotel or motel ( natives are displaced or not on original land/home) They are watching or learning about thier own culture from TV (Learning about thier ancestery and ways from the current government/people, a displaced viewpoint on thier own ideals) Like it... Well done.

  • Even the natives "stole" this land from some one else white or not, this whole earth is one of dominant cultures and ways of life. As much as I respect this music, and natives they killed and wared with each other accept for the Hopi's who to this day refuse to fight in war. Look at the big picture. Not hatred.

  • i know this song. i've heard it somewhere before... beautiful.

  • I'm not any colour i'm a being of passion and love who was born to this earth and shall die to this earth in times to come, my maker was my parents and my parents maker was their parents, my country is just a place I was born into but my life is the earth itself, I am one with myself and with my fellow human beings, all may curse and talk down to me but they will always be my equal.

  • Im White but have some Native American blood but not sure what tribe or anything, it was wrong what happend in the past but we all need to come together as a one and make the Country what in once was. i have the up most highest respect for any Native America.... great song btw

  • A beautiful song, I remember listening to the Sacred Spirit chants to help me sleep as a child.

I don't understand why a piece of music can't be beautiful without having to speak out against or for something. So what if anglo-spaniards invaded? it happened centuries ago. So what if you're half cherokee? Does it make your appreciation better than others?

Just enjoy it for what it is.

  • Odio quello che siamo diventati.. Odio questo mondo.. prendiamo esempio!

  • He waiata tino ataahua(A very beautiful song).A big kia kaha(stay strong) to our native american brothers and sisters from the Maori people of Aotearoa(New Zealand).

  • if i wasn't white i would definitely loved to been native American

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!

  • rispetto per un grande popolo!!

  • this is good music better than justin bieber

  • Believe me, there are plenty of us who fall under the category of "white" who hate the horrible way that most people mistreat the Earth, as well as the indigenous cultures of places around the world.

  • what t tribe is this??

  • very nice tune. what does it mean in english. I am facinated with the Native American Indian culture and everything. I think Native American Indian people are a strong nation and I would love to get to know a Native American much more. We are meant to be civil to one another, no matter what race, colour, religion etc but sadly that is not the way things are right now... but please God some day.

  • this is the orginal song from sami peopol AIGI- Norma jovnna this joik is a personal joik to Norma Jovvna!

Sacred Spirit has taken this song/joik!!!!!!

  • AIGI-Normo Jovnna not Norma Jovnna Sorry for that :)

  • Assoluta...

  • I am not full blood Native but half blood Black and Native Piscataway

this song speaks to my spirit for some odd reason, there are,nt many of us Natives left so as a tribute to us Natives look at my video on my page

  • "Be fearful son of a race called man

for they know not what they do,

They have been gifted abilities far beyond our own,

    yet utilize so few.

They act not for their brothers and sisters,

but for the betterment of one,

They've violated many of natures laws

but know not what they've done.

  • che spettacolo .ascolti e sogni ad occhi aperti

  • I went to war, as it is the custom of our people and earned two feathers. Why is it then that I do not feel like a great warrior, but feel only the pain of guilt and regret. Manitoumahwhingon Ghost of a Wolf Chippewa

  • greaaaaaaaat

  • No land is any man's land, but the blame lies within the white eyes ancestors for overtaking it. It is they who have broken the bond between Native Americans and Mother Earth and we are trying to restore that bond. It does not matter how much native blood you have nor the color of your skin. What matters, is if you have the want to be as ONE with ALL things...RISE NATIVES!!!! RISE!!! --thanks for posting this video!

  • not only the video is good but the music olso

  • VH1

  • She is beautiful, she looks like pocahontas

  • WHAT DOES THIS SONG MEAN ???

  • Comment removed

  • Westernized civilization.

  • I love it when people think they know about Indian culture. I myself have Native American heritage, but am no where near being full blooded and living the traditional Native way (though I would if I had the means. It's a beautiful existence to be one with nature). Native Americans believe the Earth to be sacred and home and mother to all life, and that she could not be owned nor conquered by man, and that we were to respect her. It is sad to see that culture all but erased in the face of

  • STUPENDAAAAAAAA!

  • If only Natives really looked like that...

  • I just love this song!

    I really do!!

  • This is a beautiful chant, unfortunately it is not native American although people who have been robbed of their culture have been duped into believing so. It's a ancient chant from the Sami people of Lapland. The group who arranged & produced this rendition are German & they knowingly mislabeled the song.

  • i,m Aztec dancers and i feel to much respect for you and all the natives tribes i love your dance is similar to my dance four elements is all the we need and the drums tiahui my friends

  • does anybody know of the watti tribe? im not sure if thats even the real name of my fathers tribe, i didnt grow up with him and unfortunately i never got to ask him before he left this world. I miss him so much and want to at least know the history of my family but there isnt anyone alive in my family i can ask. i tried researching the watti tribe but could find nothing, please does anyone knows of a tribe in the west that remotely sounds like watti

  • @thecheechoftheages I can't truly say what the tribes of the west are since I reside in the east, but their history may have been destroyed by the imperialistic frontiersmen of the 1800s and early 1900s. All I know about my background is that my great-great-grandmother was from the Squall (Cherokee) tribe. But I wish you luck on your search, from a descendant of the eastern tribes to a descendant of the western tribes. native-languages(dot)org may be of some use to you, if you know your state

  • @Mystrymeat in the west the most prominent tribes today are Black Foot, Salish and Kootani, and Navajo. :)

  • @Narcissiaxx Thanks for the info but I wasn't really the one that was in need of it. :P

  • one of my favorite, he may not have the best voice in the world, but it sure works here, and make you almost cry right away.

  • can i just say

Do not dwell in the past,

do not dream of the future,

concentrate the mind on the present moment

  • @EldarForLife the present is a result of the past, and how can we not dream of tomorrow, when tomorrow comes through the actions and choices we make today?

  • @AirAddict101 Dude I was just using an old buddhist proverb

  • simply beautiful

  • PPL forget when white man came to this side of the world Native Americans where already here. They ownd this land but the white man wanted what was not theres.

Im Half Cherokee my Father was Cherokee and my mother was half Cherokee.

  • @sweetcowgurl24 I'm ashamed to be white. I'm sorry for what my people did to yours.

  • @hewlejr Did you or your ancestors harm her people? I don´t think so! Then there is no reason to be ashamed! There are good and bad people in every race, and all we white people can do is :show that not all of us are ignorant *****! And that we respect other cultures and traditions!

  • @sweetcowgurl24 It kills me when they think it's there lane. "Take America back" What's that supposed to mean? Like those white nationalist who want to kick everyone out. Oh, the hypocrisy.

  • @ASacredSpirit I didnt say Take America Back. Im just Tried of PPL on here being so racist that what i was tring to get a crossed. I was tring to tell ppl that Natives where here long before the white every come the this side of the world.

  • @ASacredSpirit I didnt say Take America Back. Im just Tried of PPL on here being so racist that what i was tring to get a crossed. I was tring to tell ppl that Natives where here long before the white man every came to this side of the world. Am i wrong about what i said.
