  • I am NOT TRYING TO SELL ANYTHING,NOR do I work for anyone who DOES,but Want to save a CRAPLOAD of money?? DO NOT BUY cymbal-cleaners from all the drum and cymbal manufacturers!! All they do,is RUIN the finish on them (especially if you leave the cleaner to dry ON the cymbals!!) INSTEAD............I discovered an EXTREMELY effective way to clean dirty cymbals with nothing more than a household item! PLUS,it rubs away any and all stick-marks on both cymbals and drumheads!! Just use cooking-spray!

  • Thank you so much for the info. I will definitely try it

Thanks again, Steve the Duke of Drums

  • @thedukeofdrums MY PLEASURE Steve and your more than welcome as I came Across this purely by accident!! It's a long, detailed story, but basically,I accidentally used a cloth that already HAD cooking-spray still ON IT,when I used that very SAME cloth,to "dust" my cymbals with and when I started dusting the first one and saw the stick-marks IMMEDIATELY disappear,I looked at the cloth and saw I had rubbed cooking-spray on the cymbal and WOILA!! There it was!! Lol.

  • that was really good, and you got a hell lot of instruments

  • Wow! Excellent drumming! Very cool. Too many people post their not very good videos on YouTube with their sticks hitting the Roto-Tom rims constantly and playing the equivalent of musical masturbation! You, however, play with dynamics, sensitivity, and creativity. This is a very informative and entertaining video! Thanks!

  • so sorry i have taken so long to see your message. I am honored w ith your comments. Thank you

  • terrible...

  • Truly amazing... And awesome technique!

  • Sorry so late with thanking you for the incredibly nice comment. Being Classically trained helped in my technique, I would imagine. Thank you again,

Steve Marino AKA The Duke of Drums

  • Great job + you look like neil pert

  • Really cool!

  • what make of roto toms are you using?? .. and how much were they? im looking into getting some, but dont want to spend too much really =)

  • I have played with the San Diego Symphony and the LA Philharmonic. Do these count as playing with bands?

  • Oh, yes they do. I want to get into professional percussion work as such. Currently I'm playing in a rock band and in musicals, but I would like to play in orchestras, I have plenty of experience doing it.

  • Good for you, my man. You know ..., once you have drums in your blood...., it's an addiction that lasts a lifetime.

  • It's been in my blood since the 4th grade. I just played drum set in a production of Seussical for my high school, and I was asked to play drum set for the same play but in a different town, so I'm probably going to do it. It's exciting.

  • You got that right.Drums grow on you and bother you if you don't have any of your own. Many people are tormented by the "nodrum"syndrome. They releive stress. It's a form of meditation and all drums work.So if tou can't afford them then just buy sticks and find anything to make a drum out of and go for it. GO FOR IT!

  • you got that right!!! "nodrum" syndrome is eating me alive!!! anyone know where i can find a cheap but decent set???

  • lol awesome

  • are those GP???

  • looks kinda like neil pert....

  • nice, what brand roto toms do you have there?
