Nice video, we have our own William Crazy Lacy Furmage 47 and his two sons Chris 24 and Corey 20 who still ride out of Apple Valley ca, He started his team Super Style II in 1979, he was an Original Vans member in 1982. The bmx world call them the first family of Freestyle BMX. Keep up the good work!
GREAT VIDEO AT 2;35 I DID THAT TO MY BIKE WITH THE SAME WHEELS I THINK THEY WERE SKYWAYS. THEY BEND BUT I PUT THEM IN THE FREEZER AND BACK TO NEW AGAIN DID ANYONE DO THE SAME THING WITH PLACING THEM IN THE FREEZER LOL LOVE THE 80'S
Tuff Wheels were cool, it was great being the kids growing up during the start of BMX, the top riders were like rock stars. Was a blast meeting all your friends and going riding. I had a cro-mo MCS Magnum 2000 & forks, Redline V bars & 3 peice Redline cranks (super high dollar back in the day) had $500 in my bike around 1981
I wasn't at this show but definitely remember seeing the Haro Freestyle Team at the old Eric's in Richfield. "Radical" Ron Wilkerson, Brian Blyther, Dennis McCoy. Good stuff.
hahaha its so cool seeing how things have changed. these days, you would have to be able to do these tricks at age 7,in your first year of riding to ever amount to anything by the time you were 25.
Aww, bless him. In the middle of the film he tries a nose manual and doesn't quite pull it off. The rest of the film is about him trying to regain his confidence.
Cool History. To see one of the First Freestyle teams to use P.K.Ripper in .1982 check out (Crazy Lacy BMX) This guy has the Super Style II BMX Freestyle team. He and Tony Ray Davis first rode Mongoose then Pk. The first team to Cross Over to Vans in 1982. Crazy Lacy Now helps the youth fight the NO BIKES ALLOWED IN SKATEPARKS. He's 44 now and has 3 videos on youtube. His sons also have youtube videos under Furmage
wow they had freecoasters in that time! awesome! but if i see this idiots..omg.. i mean...flatland with a fuckin helmed...their nice suits...hahahahahahahhahahaha i'm happy this time is over and we ride bmx another way today
no it wasn't. I broke every single pair of GT pro performer forks and several frames I had the disprivilage of riding on. I was also there when Jay Miron who rode for GT briefly snapped in half a band new GT pro freestyle team tour model. I think it was Jay who dropped GT after that.
I saw them when they went to Corpus Christi, TX. Good times and even better memories.

Rich Sigur was my idol, with Eddie Fiola... I'm wondering what those guys became...
I was all eyes for those tricks at that time... now I find that nearly ridiculous :-))
the only one who didn't age to much is Kevin Jones, he still looks amazing even now...
