Thank you for this video. I just got the same collar 3 days ago. It doesn't seem to work. I will try to shave my mare a little bit where the light schock is supposed to give the effect. If no results, I might try the new system of Barclay with the side-extend. Which way is this collar set-up? The original way?
Horses dont usually teach each other to crib, do they? Bcuz i have my horse in a pasture, and theres a horse in the same pasture that cribs... she wont teach my horse will she?
I have a horse that cribbs. I tried every one of them collars but none of them worked for him no matter how tight it was put on. He still cribbed. Now I use a plain nylon dog collar. it cost 6 bucks and works great.
they do say ur not meant to restrict the horse by using a collar..ive been doing research and they say that giving ur horse 6 Rennies chews/tablets(as in the human indigestion chew/tablet) after every meal will reduce the amount of windsucking they do and eventually stop it altogether
use a miracle collar, not a nut cracker. works great, Pumpkin is a cribbing spaz. hell crib on ANYTHING! including my arm when i tack him up, but the miracle collar helps a lot!

This mare had been sucking for many years and become very sick at one stage prior to me owning her when all she would do was suck and not eat.
I started her on a supplement to help her stomach and then put the collar on.
I agree a collar wouldn't be used to restrict them unless your are treating the stomach too.
She will never break this habit. I know some do but this girl was a die hard sucker for many years.
