To the response regarding Americans: That's not true at all but can be what seems to happen. It's not at all bland. Tracks like "High Rise", "Fighting in Built Up Areas" and "Beauty" show the growing dynamic of their sound.

It's true that Ladytron has gotten a lot more mainstream attention since the release of Witching Hour, but to associate their rising popularity with the deterioriation of the quality of their music is not fair. Ladytron can be mainstream and still make great music as well.

I think in this you are right, I appreciate their experimentalism with guitars mostly because at the end had good results, but I think they could had gone more into l'avant-garde, they got the potential, they shouldn't waste it on proper good records.. hopefully Velocifero, their new album sounds more structured

I've bought both '604' and 'Light and Magic' in the past month. They are both really good.

Fave tracks from 604- 'Discotraxx', 'The Way That I Found You', 'Paco' and of course I already had heard 'Playgirl'.

Light and Magic - 'Blue Jeans' is fab, 'Fire' is very much the sound I expect from Ladytron, 'Seventeen' I already knew and so too 'Evil' - probably my favourite Ladytron track.
