The sort of people who join the police force have in general four career choices to make: become a 1) guard, 2) cop, 3) soldier or 4) criminal. It's not really surprising to see such bullying to take place when you consider the sort of people who rely on brute force are generally bullies, people with guns and those who play for the "winning team". Cops are all that, and sometimes corrupt too, claiming the whole set.

OUR "poor" are "rich" compared to most of the world. Let's put it this way.....my parents had enough money to buy either bread or gas for the heater, and argued over it long enough for it to last in my memory as a 6 year old. I came from that background to success. I'm hard hearted for the weak.

The sort of people who join the police force have in general four career choices to make: become a 1) guard, 2) cop, 3) soldier or 4) criminal. It's the exact same people, some on one side of the law, some on the other. It's not really surprising to see such bullying to take place when you consider the sort of people who rely on brute force are generally bullies, people with guns and those who play for the "winning team". Cops are all that, and sometimes corrupt too, claiming the whole set.

@pthompson108 I control my own future friend. I'm fortunate enough to have some education and good genes. I grew up very poor, admittedly subjective, poor compared to most Americans. OUR "poor" are "rich" compared to most of the world. Let's put it this way.....my parents had enough money to buy either bread or gas for the heater, and argued over it long enough for it to last in my memory as a 6 year old. I came from that background to success. I'm hard hearted for the weak.

I have seen a lot of both. But I think the latter are in the majority now. Our cultures are somewhat different. When I was leaving school, the split between working class and prof. was around 70-30 %. Thats changed a lot in the last 20 years. The jobs have gone too though.

Just as "lower" (more basic) life forms evolve into more advanced forms, societies and economies evolve, from barter economies, to feudal economies, to mercantilist, to capitalist, and, finally, to socialist. Each earlier system succumbs to its own internal contradictions until it reaches the end stage, socialism. You can see signs of it now with privatized profits but socialized losses, gov't baliouts, etc.
