  • Jim has the best bits of lyric that sneak up on you and echo through your head....sometimes out of nowhere I'll just call out "cancel my subscription to the resurrection!" or I'll just quietly say "the killer awoke at dawn...."

  • Morrisson performing Kurt Weil is the definition of "as bad as it gets". Magnificent. Not even Nick Cave can do that.

  • im feel in the heaven or hell i dont know? this is precious

  • they guns but we got the nubers, com oooooooooooooooooooooon !

  • lost the count think 47 times?

  • Mick Jagger was in the front row in this show.

  • @DarkprinceCs with Pam on his lap....

  • SOO sick they combined backdoorman and five to one

  • Demsters SUCKKKKKKKKK lmao

  • I can recall smoking pot with DMT in it and hearing that organ that starts at around 0:32 ringing in my ears for minutes at a time. Trippy shit. But I had fun :)

  • ray looked a lot like lennon

  • fuck jagger fuck the rolling stones keep it bluesy keep it american keep it SOUL

  • Trade Jim for Bieber?? sure why not?

  • @luckypenny212

nobody is better the doors flat the doors teach rock and roll even to this day i recently saw the rolling stones live at spartan stadium at michigan state university and it was an awsome but honestly i would of rather to see the doors

  • I read that the audience thought this performance to be disappointing, but I don't see why. Sure, Jim isn't moving around or dancing much, but his singing is excellent! I also remember hearing on 'When You're Strange' that he was either on acid or distracted by Pam being on Jagger's lap. If I'm honest, he doesn't seem that high to me in this concert.

  • Wanted to press dislike because Jim is totally triping somewhere out here but changed my mind - dont want to be the only one here who "listens to bieber"

  • @Gugenheimas He was always tripping...da fuck?

  • @livebabylive15 where i can download this?

  • There's a lack of camara's lol.. but awesome footage!

  • nobody will ever compare to these motherfckers....They will forever be the shit

  • nobody will ever compare to these motherfckers....They will forever be the shit

  • my top favorite bands of all time in order 1. the beatles 2. queen 3. the doors 4. nirvana 5. the rolling stones 6. pink floyd 7. the mamas and the papas 8. jimi hendrix 9. the moody blues AND MY TOP 2 FAVORITE BANDS AS OF NOW ARE THE BEATLES AND THE DOORS
  • @beatlesfan07480 beatles fan our favourites list is practically the same. all except in my top 5 is 'Canned Heat' you gotta check out this band.. listen to tracks : on the road again live at woodstock, Time Was, Poor Moon, Let's Get Together, Amphetamine Annie ect the list goes on because they are awesome. Unfortunately one of the lead singers died at 27, same as Jim Morrison..his name was Alan Wilson. They are as good if not better than the doors..IMHO - share the music ` peace and love .

  • i like his voice and hes fucking hot

    mick jagger was hot too

    and john lennon too

i would fuck all three of them and george harrison

  • @beatlesfan07480 would you let all 4 run a train on you?

  • I like how this video has 0 dislikes

    The Doors are immortal.

  • he's hot.

    really hot.

  • "you looking real good... Yeeeeeeahhhhhhh"

  • livebabylive, you rule pal! best thing ive watched ever! morrison is classssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • What he did with his voice was amazing. His quiet, sick crooning and then a sudden accent of a scream. Unforgettable.

  • i love the white shoe bunping all the time(manzarek´s one)

  • "you understand don't you momma? Ha, ha" so hot! He had a great baritone voice.

  • jim morrison, mick jagger, robert plant, john lennon, ian curtis, freddie mercury, roger hodgson, kurt cobain with that scream. there you have it wouldnt be rock if it wasnt for these guys

  • @rj689 totally agreed, let's throw Steven Tyler in there as well. I'd put he and Morrison as the two best rock screamers of all time

  • and this concert was supposedly off? if this concert wasnt as great as their others then you can imagine how their closed inside concerts were, bc i read somewhere they played better in closed areas

  • @jyac328 James preffered playing in a small venue because for him it was about connecting with the audience, and ultimately becoming one universal mind, and having a collective conciousness.

  • 1:35 difrent from original but awesome

  • Robbie just kind of wanders around the stage for the whole show lol.

  • My God Robby Krieger is suuuch a bad ass.

  • wow, he really sounds like elvis in those low notes O_o

  • First Song = When the Music's Over

    Second Song = Whiskey Bar

Third Song = Back Door Man / Five to One

I just wanted to know what the third song was called, it's a mix of the two.

  • I think sometimes Jim Morrison wished he was black.

  • @fuzzyone99 I don't think any white person living in the 60s wished they were black

  • @purplehaze0120 I hope you're not trying to say Jim was racist...

  • @psk8tr8 Black people had it really shitty in the 60s. The civil rights act wasn't even passed until halfway through the decade. If you lived around a group of people being treated that way, I doubt you would envy anything about their life.

  • @purplehaze0120 oh, makes sense haha.

  • @fuzzyone99 That's Mick Jagger, who actually is black in this reincarnation.

  • @ryancadams

    third song is Back-door-man

  • I don't think the people there even know what to do.

  • if alabama song was the third, wat wer the first and second songs?

  • what's the third song called

  • @tomoutlane back door man, five to one, whiskey bar...

I'm not sure which one is third

  • @AntiHeroSkateboardss Thanks for that

  • @AntiHeroSkateboardss That's what they did: the third one is whiskey bar, then they put together back door man and 5 to 1 to create only one song. they did a mix between the two songs.

  • @AntiHeroSkateboardss Alabama song, Back-door-man , then 5 to one

  • Its easy to do that, I do it all the time. I play in a Culture Club tribute band and I do it every friday.

  • Jim,there aren't word to describe you...

  • Wow. Jim was freakin' hot!!

  • @szqsk8 was?

  • I read in a book that Jim was really nervous about this concert..

when in the end this concert was fucking amazing.

  • @BiggousDickous youre an idiot

  • ray manzarek, that white shoe keeps the time of my life

  • i think i just jizzed.... 0:27 that scream is amazing

  • Im so jealous of all my relatives that got to see the doors live in concert, times have changed for the worst this is the kind of music you can feel, theres so much passion, mainstream will never be like this again.

  • This is all well and good, but I'll take my Justin Beaver thank you very much!

  • @lemurianchick little kids haha you are to moch unlived kid

  • i love how he never person the same way, new poems on most songs, i love that

  • dam in the movie it sounded so much more fuller and stronger, it seems weak. I know that was a movie with val kilmer and they tried to incorporate probably every crazy event (and invent some) that ever happend in the doors career and put it in 2 hours of footage. but the music alone sounded so much more fuller! the drums seem empy and theres not bass keeping it steady, its rays organ thats doing it and it sounds weak to me. thats all. love this band, sounds weak though!

  • @Bigrusssthefuss thats cause this shit is live,,,not memorex. playing live isn't about making it sound perfect

  • My mom was at this concert. I did some research on the web and come to find out both Steppenwolf and The Chambers Brothers opened the concert. In all these years my mom had forgotten! Both of those bands had big hits in the summer of 1968, Steppenwolf with "Born To Be Wild" and The Chambers Brothers with "Time Has Come Today." I wonder if either one of them were filmed!

  • they skipped celebration of the lizard :(

  • man if only i could go back to that era...sigh for now just these youtube videos will do. Jim Morrison till the end no other!

  • Sexiest man to grace God's green Earth.

  • He's so interesting. Long live the doors, Much love.

  • ''The Doors concert at the Hollywood Bowl was touted as the rock event of the season in L.A. Steppenwolf and The Chambers Brothers were chosen as the opening acts. Mick Jagger and Jimmy Miller had gone out with The Doors to dinner and now they were sitting up front which no doubt added some pressure on Morrison as Jagger watched his every move.''

    i WanT TO kILl yoU....

    MaThEr.....

i WaNT to FucK yoU---- FucK yoU FucK yoU FucK yoU FucK yoU

  • The greatest screamer in history.

  • R.I.P. LIZARD KING.

  • back door man 5 to 1 back door man no way

  • The Lizard King

  • Best front man ever. No question.

  • im just gonna throw this out there but those pants and belt are bad ass.

  • i do not like manzarek , morrison krieger densmore ,

may manzarek is the worlds first emo, muhaha.

but he gave them a unique sound, (bass piano)

  • i think the point is they were literate and humble...hence they made it relevant.

  • 8:10 on is the sample Jay-Z used in "The Takeover" Check it out... Also can anyone figure out what ray is up set about at 9 minutes... He says something to densmore and looks upset.... I haven't read any of the books so it would help is someone knew.

I am completely en-tranced Jim's voice, if this guy hadn't of died so young I think music would be much different. I am for sure diggin the vibe, man.

  • He's just letting Densmore know the change to Back Door Man again.

  • @jamesdburt Yea your right, he is saying backdoor man. Thanks

  • really wish there was more live video footage of the doors and of jim,, including the miami concert--would love to have seen that

  • You don't see live shows like this these days. Now it is boy bands, lip sync and mechanical dancers in the background. The people @ the Bowl that nite witnessed history. Jim was totally wasted but oh so hot!

  • the whiskey bar song always reminded me of a circus hahah

    theyre fuckkn genious!!!!

  • they actually covered that song

  • @kourosh1234 By who?

  • i honestly dont rememeber i think they took it from a play

  • @kourosh1234 Oh yeah it was like Kurt something.

  • Actualy whiskey bar was orginaly from a german rock opera, the title escapes me at the moment. Dorthy was listeing to it and Jim was getting into it and said lets do this Ray said we cant do this stuff. Dorthy then said put a DOORS spin on it and this is what they came up with.

  • Berthold Brecht's Three Penny Opera

  • correction

Berthold Brecht (lyrics) and Kurt Weil (music) are the actual creators of this song; it is from "The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny."

  • He dropped acid right before the concert and when the band found out they were kinda pissed haha.

  • such a beautiful crowd! jim morrison is the hottest thing ever!!

  • crowd looks nerdy i wonder the exact amount an type of drug he's on during this concert

  • he's on acid and no one in the band knew haha

  • @freeCELL9 no one knew? lol ya dude they are all on acid and i think they new because he did it every day ate the tabs like mentoes

  • @Superfreak69ing Wrong, John Densmore, Ray Manzarek, and Robbie Krieger RARELY did Acid.

  • ....... well obviously you know nothing don't assume your right because your name has Ray in it i have read every single one of there individual biography's and they constantly state how much more acid did Jim did than them! There is even a interview from robbie saying how he only did acid once a week while jim did it everyday

  • Asskicking guitar riffs by Mr. Krieger!

Magical tune! The most creative guitarist of all time after Jimi Hendrix i think.

  • @OoKensaioO He by FAR had his own style, I think he is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time.

  • The Doors Always in the top!!!

    Jim rules!!!

  • thats true and tripping on acid doesnt help either the guy has mad talent

  • Pretty hard to play the baslines as the same time you play keyboard.

  • @danne0892 Not when you're Ray Manzarek.

  • @Alph2402 ray is really good just like jim, john, and robby but he is nothing without the doors

  • @bananaman606 give me a break ray was the Brains and talent of The Doors

  • @badfish42092 no no no, give me a break!

kreiger wrote the hits! and was phenomenal at guitar!

  • @danne0892 it takes a genuis to do that

  • @danne0892 you mean organ

  • The Doors must one of the greatest livebands of all time! I love this!

  • The name of the song is "When The Music's Over". The Doors will forever be an amazing band!

  • and alabama song

  • Hi, i'm new to The Doors, can someone pls tell me the name of the songs played here? they're soo cool.

  • the google, use it.

  • lol, why didn't i think of that. I've googled it and i've got the hole setlist now, haha. Thanks for the advice

  • back door man into 5to1 back into backdoor man

  • When the Musics Over and Alabama Song(Whiskey Bar) and Back Door Man

  • when the music's over

  • hhahahaha he is awesome!

  • No one in the history of mankind screams like Jim Morrison. Such elemental fury with that touch of insanity. So incredible...

  • i dunno, Roger Daltrey

  • lol thats a tough decision there

  • jim's voice is amazing, i love how he screams NOW! i dont see how he does it. wish i could do that...

  • Well, 0:07 and 0:11 . . .

  • Don't blink. At 0.11 is only the second time in my life I saw Jimbo smile . . .

  • noiteee persaaaa babeee

  • jim morrison is god

  • Anyone knows about the story of mick jagger being among the presents that night ???

  • i do beleive he was in the audience sitting next to pamela (Jims GF if u dont know) but thats all i know

  • Comment removed

  • @BombsOnTrees LMFAO

  • @HufflepuffTheGreat Stonnes hahah

  • @livebabylive15 M

ick Jagger said the concert was boring but that some parts were enjoyably

  • @livebabylive15 On the film When your strange, It says that Pam was sitting on Mick Jaggers knee on the front row.

  • @livebabylive15 If I remember correctly, Pamela was actually sitting on Jagger's lap.

  • @livebabylive15 Your correct Chub. Ray said that Pam was sitting on Mick Jaggers lap. And Ray thought Jim wasnt his normal self that night. He said Jim was either he was under the influence of something, or very uncomfortable seeing Pam on Mick Jaggers lap

  • According to the jim morisson book i read

jagger came to his hotel room before this concert

and jagger wanted advice on how to play large arena's also,

he gave him a vile of pure lsd

witch of course jim took afterwards

  • Hey thanks man ! ..I think that's the information I was looking for....

  • no problem!

also jagger was in the front row of this show

  • @sipikaa I know he was sitting next to Pam. Didn't Morrison trip acid with him before the show too?

  • @sipikaa ''The Doors concert at the Hollywood Bowl was touted as the rock event of the season in L.A. Steppenwolf and The Chambers Brothers were chosen as the opening acts. Mick Jagger and Jimmy Miller had gone out with The Doors to dinner and now they were sitting up front which no doubt added some pressure on Morrison as Jagger watched his every move.''

Break on through - The life and death of Jim Morrison (James Riordan & Jerry Prochnicky)

  • @sipikaa

in the biography i read jagger was in the front row having talked to jim earlier that day before the show. and pam and some guy she was seeing were a few rows behind

  • @sipikaa : I heard that Jagger met Jim in the motel where Jim would always hole up before concerts to prepare and gave him some acid! In John Densmore's book he states that something seemed off about Jim that night and found out that he had taken acid before the concert, so I wonder if those stories match up? Also, I heard that Jim was a bit put off because Jagger had Pam on his lap in the front row during the show. Again, it's not recounted in every book the same way.

  • @lemurianchick

    hahaha

    jim or jagger ina fight?

  • @orlo1000 jim would fuck jagger up

  • @phillypitcher31594

    he'd fuck up Axl Rose

  • @phillypitcher31594 what is jagger?

  • @gamesplaystation1 Rick Jagger. Rolling Stones.

  • @biggi3lue I know you misspelled that - Mick Jagger.

  • @MsCayla13 :D oopsies

  • @phillypitcher31594 and then TEABAG his broken head.

  • @phillypitcher31594 very hard yea!!!!!!

  • @phillypitcher31594 According Lisciandro's excellent book we know that Morrison met Jagger prior to the show at the Alta Cienega Motel. Greeted at the door by January Jansen " Hi, I'M Mick" and the answer back was " you sure as fuck are."

  • @phillypitcher31594 yea, he took acid before the concert.

  • @sipikaa He was in the audience, and Pam was in his lap. Jim did not approve.
