You can. Just take a hankerchief (or cleaning cloth - no lint!) and put it on a flute cleaning rod, put it down the bell, twist a time or two and pull it out. This can also be done with the other pipes of the trumpet.
@cheereeo wow, just looked it up. I am so glad i clean my sax really good. I am like the only ones that does in my school band. I am going to tell them about this. Thanks :)
This is very well done! It was very informative for anybody who's inexperienced, and all around, it was very well done. I'm going to try to recommend this video whenever this topic comes up.
This vid explained to me the few things i was looking for. How many time i should have the trumpet on water, how hot/cold she must be and so on. Congratz
I loved that part when the narrator says something like "to clean your mouthpiece scrub it gentle" and on the vid we see a lot of pressure applied with the brush :p it was kinda fun
I agree! This is a great idea. I have gotten great comments about our narrator, so we need to keep her. Let me know when you want to shoot another one! (although I don't know if I'm going to make semi-original music for all of them...)
HEY, TAKE IT! WASH IT! I'LL PAY YOU PLAY-MONEY!!! LOL!!! THAT IS CUTE!!!

I like to pull a clarinet cleaning cloth through the valves. Instead of just scrubbing the valves, it wipes out any debris.
