I am surprised that on the premiere episode, everyone started out at zero dollars. But in later episodes all the players get $200 to start the game. Interesting but somewhat weird as well.

If this show was self-contained and didn't have returning champions, no way would they show this as the first show. Clark and Greenberg probably weren't too fond of the outcome of this game, just as Trebek and the gang weren't too fond of the three way zero tie on their second J! episode.
