'Im sure grappling and holding onto their opponent isnt allowed anymore, I do kyokushin, and im sure if it were allowed along with contact to the face. 90% of practtioners evntering tornaments would come out with sever phsyocal and mental imparements lol. And thats no good for anyone lol.
@watahinaro tameshiwari is good way to see who can be the winner...but weighting is unfair!!! they should find a better way to see who would win in that situation!!! i think you will agree with me...OSU!!!
No, the rules are exactly the same. The only difference between the two is that Seidokaikan doesn't do much kata (I wouldn't be surprised if this varies from dojo to dojo), other than that it's all the same.
Seidokaikan uses a variant of kyokushin Knockdown karate rules.
The difference is that in the case of extensions, you put on boxing gloves. Also in the case of a draw after several extensions, the bout may be determined by tamashiwari (breaking tiles/boards).
In the knockdown karate rules there are no punches or elbows allowed above the neck -although kicks and knees are allowed anywhere. clinching and grabbing are severely limited.

could somebody please explain why they had this smashing of bricks and weighing after the fight?
XxTestProfilxX 1 year ago
@XxTestProfilxX
When the fight is draw, they break bricks. The one who breaks more will be the winner. If the number of the bricks they break is the same, they weigh.
The lighter one will be the winner.

What is the difference between Seidokaikan and kyokushin?
Bjjownsu10 2 years ago
Different organisations, but karate style is the same - knockdown
Raf19800120 2 years ago
But, is there certain techniques or things Seidokan allows that are not allowed in Kyokushin?
