Yeah, a trillion dollar deficit and nearly $13 trillion of national debt is nothing but complete fear-mongering. It's all fear-mongering. Right. I agree with you, we should all just focus on Tiger Woods and nothing else. We Americans should just remain dumbshits and not pay any attention to issues that matter, because that would be 'fearmongering'.
Intelligent conservative Republicans have proposed tax cuts so perhaps we should try that and see if it works, just lower taxes and let people decide where to spend their own money. Keep the military budget high to protect America's future and stop Obama taking away the freedom to own guns.
Thank god for Glenn Beck! He didn't let the left-wing-out-of-context-propaganda-machinists like media matters, msmbs, cnn, colbert put him down. Thank god Glenn's showing us how Obama is laughing at all of us. It's sick. Almost like he doesn't care what's happening. I mean, how can somebody just sit and laugh like that? It's evil and insane!
@rokee1979 it was new orleans fault for allowing that bullshit levvy to be built in the first fuckin place...and why are you crying the saints are kickin ass this year
But certainly, the GOP does serve an important lesson for elementary school-aged children. Teachers will point to the GOP example, and say, see children, this is what happens when you dont study and screw up badly. This is also what happens when you create this steaming pile of shit, and leave it for the next guy to clean up, and then complain that the next guy isnt cleaning it up the way you couldnt and didnt. Such a wonderful lesson for those that dont want to be lazy, racist, and stupid.
By the way, Beck, while Rome was burning last fall, your imbecilic-President was touring the world, saying goodbye, amid riots in the countries he was visiting! The protestors wanted him out. Whats more, Bush ignored the fact that the US economy was colapsing, the financial house was imploding, and the country was in need of a President. Where's Bush? Now Obama is finally in, and working hard to clean up the STEAMING PILE OF SHIT left by you Republicans. A of contrition would be nice, ahole.
Beck is so childish. The man has no concept of reality, it makes ME laugh. Did Beck even listen to the 60 Minutes interview? I doubt it. I did, however. What Obama was laughing at, was the idea that his critics all expect Obama to pick THEIR plan, amid the dozens of interests out there. I could see Obama making a mental picture of a parent of a million kids, ranting that they all wanted different flavors of ice cream. Its really impractical. And so obvious, that these critics are stupid-funny.
Since when is it bad for a president to laugh? And maybe laughing is a way we should all live instead of killing and fighting each other with words. Why can't people look outside the box.Stop relying on the news & what is shown on tv to form your "intelligent" opinions.I don't recall Bush being too concerned when he was screwing things up,and I bet he was laughing while doing it,but since the TV didn't show that, we pretend we are blind.Lets just give the man a chance and stop being so judgmental
As the world suffers president Giggles continues to appear very unengaged by it all.. No doubt he's more concerned with his newfound celebrity status and making countless hip television appearances..
His initial cool is becoming like Frosty the Snowman, Ice cold and inhuman.
I prefer giggles to bozo-the-clown. I prefer acumen to shitfaced-when-the-country-is-attacked. I prefer one that can answer multiple reporter questions and follow-ups with clear, concise, multi-layered answers, than 1 question only, no exceptions. I prefer a man in charge that can stay calm, than to one who get razzled easily, given to malapropisms/mistakes. I prefer a man that isnt afraid, that can admit mistakes, than to one that will surely be an asterisk on the history of the US Presidency.
And I prefer a president that actually knows what they're doing. If you honestly think Obama is any different from George Bush, think again. Both support the nationalization of education, banks, multi-hundred billion dollar bailouts, wasteful spending, and both never had a clue on illegal immigration.
No, you got it wrong again. It was on Bush and the Republican watch when this trainwreck happened. Or do you want to conveniently forget that? It was Paulson and Bernacke with Bush who shoved this FINANCIAL RESCUE through Congress. 1/2 of it began last fall, before Obama came in. It was then that the Republicans agreed that theyd have to nationalize banks to save them. Remember? Or did you forget that too? Man, you Conservatives do lie opening. And a lot... Please stop rewriting history.
Obama is passing executive orders like a tin pot dictator and spending more of our money on his special interests than a mafia king pin..
Anyway, I don't think one pathological lier is preferable to another one? It's been said that both republicans and democrats are just opposite wings of the same bird.. This bird is circling the drain as democrats with little exceptions rubber stamp extremely liberal and blurred across the line socialist ideas into our already shocked system..
Buzz words and scare tactics dont work anymore, NeoCon. Folks are through with that, dont cha know? So tiring. What is informative is how the DO-NOTHING Republicans are putting their broken-Party before country. They hope Obama fails. They hope the country falls into chaos. Who knew they hated America that much. So these new domestic terrorists are the Minority Party in Congress. No prob. Well just cut that part off, after Obama solves the mess they made. Mazalot, goodbye now! Bah-haha.
I know it was Bush. I never denied that. It was both the Repubs and the Dems that created this mess as well. Don't blame it all on one party. That's stupid. It was the phony conservative Republicans and the liberal Democrats that created this mess last fall. I AM NOT RE-WRITING HISTORY! But it's obvious that you do.
Well, if you were going to be specific, we had a republican majority congress. And when not speaking in generalization, we must remember that you cannot blame an individual congressman for the problem if they did not vote for the practices and catalysts that invoked this problem. The people who did were usually conservative, and this is not exactly an unknown fact since you can watch it all on cspan..Democrats make mistakes all the time, but I don't think they should have to share the blamehere
I agree.. the last Alfred E. Neuman and this new Alfred E. Neuman are like a one two punch and we average americans keep taking this abuse of power on our chins.
Can you cons tell me why under GOP presidents like Reagan and Bush, you take credit for the economic benefits of debt spending, say deficits don't matter, but when democrats do it, you whine that it will be the end of America, it will destroy the country, we'll all be socialists, and democrats are just like th Russians? "Reagan proved that deficits don't matter" -Dick Cheney 2002. Now STFU cons, you spineless losers can't keep your lies straight!

But slamming Obama for inconsequential nonsense like his appearance on Leno, his special olympics comments, and so on, doesn't help the cause. In fact, it hurts. Focus on the critical issues...like the economy.
ka7krz: No, I'm a fiscal conservative/social moderate who usually votes Rep. I've been disgusted and contemptuous of Bush since about 2003, but never suffered from Bush Derangement Syndrome and have slammed those who do (e.g. Maher, Letterman, etc.).

So were exponential spending increases only responsible when Reagan and Bush did it? But its iresponsible when dems do it? STFU! You don't have a clue!
detoth: You're missing my point entirely. I already told you I'm a fiscal conservative; my primary voting issue is lower taxes and smaller govt.
Reagan/Bush did a good job cutting taxes...but failed miserably at shrinking govt.
Obama will radically expand govt and jack taxes through the roof. He wants european style socialism for the US. These are precisely the issues that Reps should be blasting Obama on...not wasting time (and their credibility) on his Leno appearance and trivialities.
No he doesn't want European style socialism for the US. We have a LONG way to go before that occurs. Obama's plans aren't even a pale comparison. We'd need an across the board OVER 50% income taxation, FAR more govt programs and a far greater percentage increase in centralized govt. We aren't even close.

We already have among the lowest taxation in the industrialized world. Even true under Obama. ANy further cuts would be irresponsible. "His tax schemes will permanantly raise unemployment and slow GDP growth. "
You have ZERO historical or academic proof of that. Its just sky is falling nonsense.
detoth67: Yes our personal income tax rate (top rate of 33%) is among the lowest. However, our corporate tax rate of 35% is higher than even europe's. For example, Ireland dropped theirs to 15% when they joined the EU and (until the economic crisis) had excellent GDP growth and relatively low unemployment.
And I have PLENTY of historical proof for my positions. Look at the economic stats (GDP growth rate and unemployment) for the US as compared to Western Europe from about 1960-2000.
Along with subsidies, credits and tax breaks, many of those corporations pay little or nothing. Few businesses actually pay the 35% tax rate. European businesses don't enjoy a similar amount of breaks and credits. Do you really want to compare GDP growth rate of republicans vs democrats? I dare you!
One other thing; you complain about Reagan and Bush spending and govt increases, you vote for their kind anyway, yet still attack dems for the same things. VERY odd behavior John!
