Hamilton is prob one of the few drivers that is anywhere near Senna's ability.Lewis' driving style is similar to Senna, Prost, Schumacher. I dislike Schumacher for his cheating & Ferrari when they were in bed with FIA but I see he is one of the best drivers. People go on about hating Hamilton even if don't like him must be able to see he is 1 of the best drivers. He walked into Mclaren & competed for title-other drivers come up through a few teams before they get to driving for the bigboys.

The records were set because the cars in 2004 were the fastest and michael was CLASS, however, if Senna or some other 80s drviers were in those cars they wold set the records.

@jspesh Oh yes they would. Senna was a legend when he was alive. Completely idolised by the Japanese and Brazilians. He was a mega-star who transcended his sport. When he died that was brought to all the world's attention and focus . Senna's influence in Formula 1 would be just as great if he was alive. His records, racing skill and achievements are incredible and everyone in F1 knew it then and know it now.

@Breed86 Vettel has the driving talent, not the ruthless passing style. Senna would put you in a position where it was crash or give up the position, and Hamilton does that. Vettel just has Pole and stays there.
@squirlybmx Vettel is just super intelligent and very quick. Combine that with the best car and it's a pretty awesome combination. He just lacks the raw genius and soul of a Senna or a Hamilton. Hamilton is probably the faster driver over 1 lap too.
The problem is, when you're putting that much emotion into what you're doing, you'll be much less clinical. This is why people like Vettel can reel off championships with ease, in the right car.
@Breed86 He isn't as experienced, but neither were Hamilton nor Senna when they first arrived in F1. But, to say Vettel doesn't have the soul and determination of Senna just isn't true. As Coulthard said, when he was Senna's test driver, Senna would come in sick just to hear Coulthard's feedback on the car. When he test drove for Mansell, Coulthard would come in and Mansell would go play golf. Vettel is very attached to his car and team and is beyond determined to learn and win.

lewis reminds me a lot of senna and not just in their choice of helmet color but how they drive in the dry and wet. there are drivers and there are racers. lewis and senna were racers. racers will take chances for a win or for position, drivers will drive for points.

You can see how much of an influence Ayrton was to Lewis, the humongous amount of respect is clearly there. I'm not his biggest fan, but I love the fact he goes back to the past like this.

@underthesouthercross if you search on youtube there is a higlight and they ask all of the 2010 f1 drviers who was the fastest/greatest driver ever...everyone says aryton then at the end michael comes on and says that is senna had not died at Imola they would all be racing for second. The records were set because the cars in 2004 were the fastest and michael was CLASS, however, if Senna or some other 80s drviers were in those cars they wold set the records.

@B04Jordan Just look at the 94 season senna was winnning until the crash, and Donnington where he passed schuey,mansell and Prost on the first lap in the rain, F1 fans know he was better because of his drving skills, he got closer to the walls than anyone and his car control was the best, Michael was great but when he faced Senna and Prost he was not as good.

@jspesh Oh yes they would. Senna was a legend when he was alive. Completely idolised by the Japanese and Brazilians. He was a mega-star who transcended his sport. When he died that was brought to all the world's attention and focus . Senna's influence in Formula 1 would be just as great if he was alive. His records, racing skill and achievements are incredible and everyone in F1 knew it then and know it now.

@Breed86 Vettel has the driving talent, not the ruthless passing style. Senna would put you in a position where it was crash or give up the position, and Hamilton does that. Vettel just has Pole and stays there.

@squirlybmx Vettel is just super intelligent and very quick. Combine that with the best car and it's a pretty awesome combination. He just lacks the raw genius and soul of a Senna or a Hamilton. Hamilton is probably the faster driver over 1 lap too.
The problem is, when you're putting that much emotion into what you're doing, you'll be much less clinical. This is why people like Vettel can reel off championships with ease, in the right car.

@Breed86 He isn't as experienced, but neither were Hamilton nor Senna when they first arrived in F1. But, to say Vettel doesn't have the soul and determination of Senna just isn't true. As Coulthard said, when he was Senna's test driver, Senna would come in sick just to hear Coulthard's feedback on the car. When he test drove for Mansell, Coulthard would come in and Mansell would go play golf. Vettel is very attached to his car and team and is beyond determined to learn and win.
