I saw this guitar today at a guitar shop for $800. They had a deal on it because it was used and had a tiny chip out of it. It was like this but just black with red pin stripes. The guy said it was originally $1100, I havent really looked at dean that much so can someone help me? Is $800 a good price for that and is it really originally $1100, it feels like something isnt right here, they were practically giving it to me, they said they would throw in the free case too.

The licensed floyd rose has more tension so It could break your strings eaiser than the original floyd rose believe me I used a lot of floyd roses from licensed to original. Dean uses licensed but ESPs uses original.....if you want this guitar I would reccomend for you to switch the licisend one out for an original.

dude if you do that too often youll break a string

you're no more likely to break a string doing harmonics than you are regular picking, if anything, you're less likely because you pick really lightly. if you break a string on vibrato then you either have a really shitty vibrato technique or your strings suck, or they're really old...not sure what you're referring to, but if it's the squeal at 4:05 you're way off.

no when he pushes the whammy bar to the back of the guitar and it squeels, it puts emmence ammounts of tension on the strings and they could break(i did that) 1:23

Them strings are made for that kinda stuff. They are less likely to snap, i have a razorback back V as well, and i do that all the time. No problems with the strings.

it´s called pitch harmomic or something like this... rose with your finger softly to any string and you note a strange sound.

Its called a artificial harmonic or a pinched harmonic. You pick the note you want with the pick and some of you skin. Go look it up.

Yo go with the emg's because the dimebucker is good but the neck pickup in that is horrible.

The best for heavy Metal and nice clean tone is Seymour Duncan Jazz Model™ SH-2 on neck position and Seymour Duncan Dimebucker or JB Model™ SH-4 and TB-4 on bridge.. :) I have Jazz and JB SH-4 and it rocks..

@fogel91 i say dimebucker becauser they sound great and active pickups are a pain in the ass... trust me. with the dimebucker you dont have to worry about your guitar not being fully powered, with active... you do.

the pickups on the razorback arn't active which i think is good because you shouldn't rely on bateries for tone. I don't like either guitar's pickups though and i switched them for some duncans and it sounds way better and got a real floyd. i liked the body of the v better so i got it. the only real difference would be the comfort of the body and i was afraid i would hit the razorback against a ton of stuff which is another reason to get the V

i play about 1-3 hours aday. i would recommend this guitar 100% ! i havent tryed dean from hell, so i dont know about that, but i do think mine is better looking^^ i payed 12000 norwegian kroner, thats about 1800 us dollars i think.

the dean from hell has a very good feel and sound, where i am buying the guitar they have both the dean from hell and the explosion v for 1200 euros, but the bad thing is that i wanted the explosion v with dimebucker but it has emg, i just prefer the sound of the dimebucker
