  • 何これ? ただの影分身じゃん。

  • @EMIIIIIIIINEMU だが飲み物を渡している。うっふっふっふ~

  • や、優しいwww

  • @eime0820 だろう?w

  • I have PowerDirector v7, but I don't know how to "blend" two clips together to get this clone effect. Can someone please tell me how this is done

  • @hugmast PIP & masks. My video #164 is where I did a bit of a howto for this video, and in videos #250 to #252 I talked a bit about making a mask.

  • really the only way to keep up with what's going on in the internet and the real world is to clone yourself.

  • hei ! nice, but when you set "Mask", set also Feather Type : Both and down set Feather (%) : 12.0

cuz @ 0:05 i can see the different light color =)

  • @xxxCRISJUMPERxxx Yah, I see what you're getting at. Trick is though the settings you describe don't exist in PowerDirector. Or at least I'm pretty sure they didn't when I was making this. This mask was completely hand rolled, based on a black and white image. What I hadn't yet learned if I blur the border between black and white and make it grey, then I get the effect you're talking about. My Video #142 was also a handmade mask.

  • @ElevenColors yeah i've understand =) i tought you have used Sony Vegas =)

    greetz bye !

  • hey is there any way you can put like 2 clones walking in front of eachother????

  • It could be done with a mix of chroma key and custom masks, I believe.

  • I know how you drank the soda or whatever that your clone gave you you just ended the video of your clone before you grabed the can and drank it this is an awsome effect thanks for putting this up:)

  • Yer welcome. Yep, I think you guessed it right.

  • I finally worked it out! I knew the basic principle, you had used a form of masking, but couldn't work out how you actually did it.

  • Heh, congrats.

For bonus points I dare you to figure out how I hand-rolled the mask. Power Director does not actually include a Left-Two-Thirds mask, so I had to.

  • I don't have Power Director, I'm still tossing up which editor to buy. I'm leaning towards Vegas at the moment, except it's Sony ...

  • How did you do that? Please tell me, I don't have those half split masks or 3 masks?

  • Right, when I went to make this one I realized that Power Director doesn't have a lefttwothirds mask which is what I needed to make the can hand-off work. It does come with a leftonethird and middleonethird, so I looked at those in hexdump (Google for it) and figured out how to merge the two.

Cyberlink doesn't provide a method in Power Director, but masks can be handmade.

  • good job!

  • Thankyouverymuch!

  • cool not too bad m8 !

  • :-)

  • thats awesome!

  • Thankyouverymuch!

  • awesomeeee

  • Thankyouverymuch! :-D

  • really cool

  • Thankyouverymuch. :-)

  • Woohoohoowow! Magic magic! That was awesome!

  • hehehehe. Thanks! You did some mad editing on the video for the Magibon song. I need to do a tutorial for this one. You could just as easily sing a duet with yourself. Maybe pass a guitar from one of you to the other. :-)

  • Nice. Much cooler than mine!

  • 謝謝♪

    Many thanks!

  • dude, that's really awesome!

  • definitely lol

  • That's very nice!

Getting that just right is haaard...

  • Yah, hard indeed. Sucked I didn't realize that one shadow flaw until I had already chugged the two cans of cheap liquor and was no longer in the mood to re-shoot. Still fun though. :-)

  • Yeah, we had shadow issues in ours as well. Need to have a key, back and fill for our next project...though it would be hard to fit that in my small apartment.

  • I've figured out how to hand roll PiP masks. (If there's a way inside PD7 to do that I must have overlooked it, sorry.^^;)

Anyways, I'm thinking there's a way to smudge the mask edge so the gradient is more gradual and believable. Mostly I'm hacking my way through that way since I don't know what exactly "key", "back", and "fill" are. Unfortunately I'm a Perl hacker, not a pro filmmaker.(^o^;)

  • My apologies...my film studies background coming out. They are just the three types of lights you need to properly light a scene to avoid such shadows in your productions. I'll let you know when our next CL tutorial is out to see if we lit it better...

  • Re-reading this just now... I seriously need to sit down and go through all your tutorials.

    :-)

  • 双子

  • 仰るとおり!

    俺双子座だし。

  • Looks perfect!

It's a big surprise that you have twin brothers.

Please say hello to your dearest brother. ;)

  • Thanks. You are too kind.

Actually I've got some other things in mind I'd like to say to him. But I'll keep that as a surprise for next time. ;-)

  • ahh . damn i wish i can do that with some of those programs you use.. thats dope. it really looks like there are 2 of you. its great

  • Thanks. There's lots of different programs that let you do that in lots of different ways. The fun part was figuring out how to pass an object between the two me's.

  • かっこいい~!

  • ありがとうございます!!

  • Ah!

  • See the shadow? ;-)

  • Like the others, I didn't notice the shadows till the second viewing. Very cool

Either that, or it's your brother James Ken Tanaka!

  • Heh, thanks. Yeah I need to work on some impersonations. :-)

  • wow, i wish i could get MY clones to fetch beverages for me *sigh*.....good for nothing slackers.

  • Yes, I've got mine very well trained.

  • Man oh man...VERY cool! I needs to get some new editing software!!!!

  • Muahaha. Thanks! I use Power Director myself. Featureman uses Magix Pro 12. He's done the most with cloning.

  • Damn that was cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you sir! :-D

  • oooo i get it! you got a twin! lol jk that was cool man

  • Yeah, he's useful sometimes. ;-)

  • Real good. It looks real to me.

  • Thanks. With all you've done, means a lot. :-)

  • That was pretty cool man. I did see the shadow but only on the second time around. No biggie.

  • Thanks. Believe me I saw it after banging away at this thing for an hour.(*^o^*) Ah well, 'twas very educational. :-D

    I was really impressed ma~n":}]

    Have a good one!

  • ありがとうございます!

    これからも更に変わった作品を作っていきたいと思います!

  • Ahh, okay, I see it now, but honestly, the first time round, shadows are fine man. It's too fast to pick up. Nah, that is still way cool.

  • Heh, thanks. 'Twas fun. :-D

  • lmao awesome! =P

  • Heh. You are too kind sir! Glad you liked it!

  • Oh yes, the beer is a nice touch. That's one up on me now... A challenge!
