@xxwarpigspartan1138 You might be able to get away with high, but not higher. ArmA 2 is a very demanding game and if you can get it to very high, you are lucky. High is about as far as most people can get it.

The Sound mod doesn't work for me, its loaded properly with ACE but no sound difference, before i had problems because i had downloaded old version, now i have 2.2, it seemed it worked for like 5 minutes, than all sounds returned to default one.

@kRSMithh44 i would upgrade to a nVIDIA GeForce GTX 460. It's 1024MB and it runs this game on almost all high. I have one, it's only about $175. Also if you get a good cooler you could overclock your processor up to about 3 ghz which will really increase performance. this gaming isn't very graphics consuming, more CPU.

I'm not sure how well it runs on other computers, but these days most computers are powerfull enough. I must say I didn't play it for a long time, I should. You might as well buy Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. More people play that now!

@keldererik A lot of people do play OA now yes, but a lot of the online maps I try to go on require arma 2 standard aswell since most people play a combination, so I have to get the other game now too :0( You need a super powerful pc even by todays standards to max this game out and enjoy it properly, I have an i7 luckily, but it really wouldn't run very good on a lot of computers.

That's not powerfull enough to run the game. The rest of your system is sufficient. You could upgrade the videocard to a newer one. Like an ATI 5770 which is quite cheap.
