The only sollution to climate change is a system change. The only two times the emissions have gone down drastically are during the great depression and the current financial crisis, when the economy is in a degrowth state. To combat climate change we need a degrowth economy focused on needs insteads of profit. That is not combineable with a capitalist economy that requires constant growth and expansion. Socialism is the future.

It's not a lie, it is just a lot more complicated than most of us are let to believe. It is true that we have had an effect on our climate, but it is also true that it is not all our fault as the earth does have it's cooling and warming phases. What we have done is emphasized a normal global cycle. Reducing carbon emissions does not just have to do with climate change, but also about longterm viability since our reliance on coal and oil is really more a quick fix.
