@RXTII if anything that car increased its weight and had a really weak turbo. its about average rx7, iwould say maybe 400 hp, but its in kph, so i wouldnt be able to tell all that good. but love the car, and pulls nice at high speeds, keep it up.

@xavcrack usually a mazdaspeed set of clocks, but i think the fd for the usa had mph clocks because they still have speedlimits in mph.

@xavcrack all Mazda RX7's Series 8 (FD3S V5 and V6) were only sold in Japan, that's why they are in kmh. MazdaSpeed also made aftermarket gauges, as well as Knight Sports and RE Amemiya, pretty much all of them are in kmh as well.

The US got the mph.

@50centmi6o Its a valve that opens and releases all the compressed air from the turbo.. when he lets off of the throttle to shift all that boost from the turbo has to go somewhere and the intake is closed so it rushes out of the blow off valve, once he is on the gas again the intake opens the valve shuts.

in this case , we don count launch 0-60 . we count 1-60 . if u get wat i mean . meaning . we don count from 0 , or so call launch that ricer like to do by throwing clutch n wheelhopping here n there . even if he did a good launch , he wouldnt wanna spoil his clutch so fast . so we count it from 1-60 . if u can do 1-60 as good as his , meaning ur mazda 3 is definitely a forced induced one .

@Jasonbanert6 yep you're right about that i only have a GT30R turbo kit. it has about 400 horsepower.. i'm not sure how much this fd has but if it launched more properly it would be still faster than in this vid.. you can tune the b18 turbo to be more faster but that would blow the engine. unlike the rotary of the fd which can take up to 1000+ horsepower. tuned b18 turbo vs tuned twin rotary, i choose twin rotary=)

Its not a blow off sound, its impeller stall, a sound made when no bov is used, or when an adjustable bov is wound down to tightly and doesnt vent.
