Well maybe because this was their first single to be released, and by that time Oasis was not so famous than now, most people know them since What´s the Story Morning Glory?, Definitely Maybe is also a great CD, but this single didn't get famous as Live Forever or Cigarettes and Alcohol, by the way i think is one of their best and my favorite with Morning Glory.
