@MrTops2100 I didn't suspect her creepy boyfriend only because of all the other circumstances. For example, her boyfriend wouldn't have to wait until she ran out of gas someplace to do something bad. He wouldn't have been in an unusual vehicle. Over an argument, I don't think it would have been likely she would have panicked enough to jump out of a moving truck at freeway speed if she knew him.
By the story it seems to me like she realized she was running out of gas and decided to turn around and head back toward a station she just passed before running completely out of gas. Once stranded she could have been a lot more willing to take a ride, especially if she didn't have her own gas can and needed help. This man probably sped by the station and then at that point she probably realized that she was in trouble and panicked. Possibly just as easily an opportunist as someone she knew.
Seems he had nothing to do with the boyfriend. It was an unrelated criminal act. The guy told police he was "looking for someone to rape". When the girl panicked, he struck and pulled a gun on her to keep her in the car. The girl was then either pushed or fell from the truck trying to escape. The killer's stepson was found to be in possession of the truck.
Police say three murder mysteries have been solved. A man reportedly walked into the Perry County Sheriff's Department early Wednesday morning and admitted to killing three Arkansans within two months of each other. Police say 38-year-old Stephen Allen Talley of Perryville told police he first picked up 19-year-old Carson Prince after her car ran out of gas on April 28, 1999.
Results: Solved. In October 2004, Stephen A. Talley confessed to the attempted abduction and murder of Carson Prince as well as two other murders to the Perry County Sheriff's Department. He pled guilty to all three murders and recieved a life sentence with no hope of parole.
@bourbon33 Seems that these people cannot live with the guilt day in and night out for killing these innocent people, and the only consolation is to confess and hope god forgives them
He probably said he'd stop at a gas station but when he didn't she fought for her life and the guy threw her out, I doubt it had anything to do with her boyfriend.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather die THAT way than by whatever disgusting way HE would have thought up to kill her.
She wouldn't have suffered, b/c her conscious would have been altered while she was dying.
I know that, b/c I'm a paramedic, and people in an altered conscious aren't aware of much around them. Including their own pain.
