In an ideal psychological climate, he would have a girlfriend, and friends for that matter, however we learn that he has been both sexually and emotionally abused for nearly his entire life. when My big brother was Uni he rented an apartment in a bad part of town, and I would stay with him sometimes, and on some days at around 9-11 o`clock there was a boy,around 11 or 12,standing outside the opposite block of apartments. I used to ask my brother what he was doing- to which he replied "You dont want to know". I recently learned that his mother was an alcoholic and his dad was dead and he was selling himself to pay for he and his mothers rent. It`s heart breaking to think about now...

Although I agree with your thesis, your argument is poorly informed. Leviticus and deuteronomy were meant to be looked at as merely a historical reference. While I dont believe God created homosexuals (theyre just really confused in my opinion), I do not believe homosexuals deserve the treatment and condemnation they get. The Bible says to love all and judge none.

i am gay. this is not a gay movie, it is a sad movie but with a happy ending. unfortunately there are many teens out there where this life is reallity and for me hard to think about. the real tragedy is there is more exposure about abused pets than homeless children.a few years ago i worked with some homeless youth and their stories were similar to this. it's unimaginable.

@rob251149 i agree that is the case with some men however most adult male/adolecent boy relationships are concentuall and not harmfull to either partner, as we have seen from numerous studies of men who had adult male lovers as boys they say their experiences were either neutral or positive.

@hargohargo I have now read Paul Wilson's book which is very interesting about Clarence Osborne. Clearly this was an unusual man who provided his 2500 boys with some benefits apart from sex. Wilson still does not defend his activities as acceptable. He asks for a bill of rights for children, including sexual freedom , but modern society is unlikely to take this up.

@crackwizard420 this kid isn't gay. In an ideal psychological climate, he would have a girlfriend, and friends for that matter, however we learn that he has been both sexually and emotionally abused for nearly his entire life. Consequently, his perception of a father/son relationship has been distorted. Most boys without proper paternal influences turn to crime and violence. This is the same thing. The only difference is that he is lashing against himself rather than society at large.
