Houston is a working city. Plain and simple. Houston gets a lot of crap from people saying it's not a tourist city. And it's not. It's a working city where people move there to work because there are so many companies there. Thus Houston survives.
Houston is a great city. Diverse in people and industries. Houston has the most fortune 500 companies outside of NYC. Houston is the Energy capital of the world. All major gas & oil companies are based here. Houston has the largest medical campus (some call a small city) in the world. Houston is home to NASA. I've live in NYC, LA, Chicago and Miami...and I love Houston the best. The best mix of work, neighborhoods, entertainment, schools, and diversity you can want from a city.
peoe we dont have to defend houston, someone will have something negative to say about any city. I love houston so much i havent explored yet and i have been for 32 years.
Come on Without Texas or Houston America would not have Halliburton or The Bush Family . Texas is very vital to America "PERIOD" . That's why people from NY & Cali and other parts of America are coming down to work in Texas....How Ya'll Doin ?
its not a redneck city its like every major city has a purpose and ghettos an rich neighborhoods like every big city houston has one of the biggest ports in america without houston america would be nothing
@TheLilPimp112 i agree with you on everything... Those who say malicious things about Houston are wrong! However i totally disagree that without Houston America would be nothing... sorry, but without NYC and Washington DC America would be nothing (even though corruption flourishes in these cities)...
Live there for 4 years. fuck Houston, for one it's too fucking hot to even call it good weather, and the illegals have taken over that motherfucker! They outnumber everyone in Houston. It looks every bit like Mexico there, and most can't speak a bit of english. This city doesn't have enough personality to ever be a city I would recommend.
I LOVE MY CITY!!! I MISS HOUSTON SO MUCH! IT'S MY FOURTH DAY IN TUCSON AND I MISS MY CITY, WHICH IS WHY I'M ON YOUTUBE LOOKING AT HOUSTON VIDEOS!! LOL! :D
@91latinking no, not really, there are no hillbillies here, since there are no hills, and rednecks? Obviously never visited the city at all, since its clear you have no freaking clue what you are talking about and just going off stereotypes
@CodArk2 i Obviously never visited Houston??? LMFAO Guy my mom lives in Houston i visit her almost every other month lol n yea their is allota hicks that are all obsessed with hunting lol
@91latinking I also live in houston. I don't just visit, i live here. I have no clue where you get hunting, there is nothing to hunt around here, and no, there are not many hicks in houston. Now east of houston, like in baeumont, sorta, but not in houston itself...even the hicks dont hunt much in beaumont....
@CodArk2 well u live in texas so thats why you cant really tell if they are hicks you see them everyday so its the norm to u but their are allotta red necks in houston
@91latinking I can tel a hick from a non hick. To a person from the north, anyone from the south is a hick. There really are not many rednecks in houston, there are SOME, but not everywhere, certainly not a majority. Saying there is a lot of rednecks in houston is like saying there are a lot of gangsters in new york
@91latinking Does your mom live in a trailer park home or whatever they're called? Thats where the red necks and hillbillies are, and I agree with you, there are hicks or whatever you call them in Houston but the city is not full of them, they're not a majority lol..
@letherr86 no she lives in some apartment complex about ten minutes from dwntown by highway 59 on tidwell rd and im not saying 100% of the population in Houston are hicks/red necks im saying that for being a big city it has allot of red necks things you wouldnt see in other major citys
@letherr86 I f you're a white guy afraid of diversity and multiculturalism, if you're personality is a cross between John Wayne and Elmer Fudd and you believe George Bush is "the smartest man you've ever seen" Then Houston is the place for you
@easymacmac21 and what bastion of superiority do you come from? The inbred/primitive shit needs to stop, if you are in the US, i can pretty much guarantee you aren't any more advanced than houston is, and as for inbred, thats a stupid old stereotype west coast and east coast dipshits that have never visited the south use
@timosha21 HOW HIGH IS THE OBSERVATION DECK AT JPMorgan Chase Tower!?. IN FEET!!!!. SERIOUSLY!!!!!. AND PLUS!. DID YOU KNOW THAT LEATHERFACE BORN & GREW UP IN HOUSTON!?.
@TLJAWSIMIB it's at around 1,024ft on the 65th floor. on a clear day you can see galveston which is about 50 miles away but it's small. If you have a pair of binnoculars you can see everything. But since houston is SO BIG you cannot see al of houston up there since it is so huge. But up there you are near the top of the talest 5 sided building in the world and the tallest building in texas. Houston on a clear day is BEAUTIFUL!
Extraño a houston...

@bigtown Obama won Houston. Houston is more multicultural than any US cities other than NY and LA.
Your bigoted view of Houston only portrays those that dwell in the suburbs and exburbs and they rarely venture into the Heart of the city anyway.
