that is not an f35b it is the air forces f35a because it does not employ the thrust vectoring for vertical takeoff. the f35a uses a runway like the first scene of this video.
It's unfortunate that the F-35B design (the STOVL variant for the U.S. Marines and Royal Navy) has so many compromises. STOVL capabilty is great, but they really need to improve it.
unfortunatly the Harrier is highly inefficient. also this is known as the JSF or the Joint Strike Fighter so it will be universally used by all allied nations. It just makes things easier so that we can maintain other countries jets here and likewise there.
The JSF is the best, why? Because when you sit in it, you can see the sides. The helmet sends signals into your brain that makes you capable of seeing through the JSF because of all the cameras.
The first few tests virtual test almost made the pilots vomit, because you cant see your own legs.
They have made it possible to see a drawn line of the plane and the pilot has been given virtual legs to make the body calm down.
That might be a new expirement, but the current system isn't quite so advanced. The current helmet system projects a Head Up Display into the inside of the visor, giving the pilot all necessary information regardless of where he's looking. This also allows him to target an aircraft that isn't directly in front by turning his head. It'll be a very long time before wer're sending signals dorectly to the brain.
Uhh, that source, is it really reliable? Cause i never read anything like that, and i've been following the JSF dev-program since The Netherlands first spoke of joining the program..
Only thing i know that comes close (maybe you mean this?) is the HMDS, Helmet Mounted Display System. This projects the flightinfo, normally viewed on HUD, straight into your visor.. i don't know, you might be right, but i strongly doubt it. Can you post/send me that article?
F-35B obviously pwn the f-18 hornet and it obviously pwn every fighter aircraft in the world actually.... Its actually the best fighter aircraft ever made and its a US aircraft! Wich mean only US and their closest allies will be able to use them!
Wow, thats a good question. Personally, I'd say the F-35B, just because it has a bigger payload of weapons than the Hornet does. Although, the Hornet is faster than the F-35B, so in a desperate attempt to get out of the dogfight, it could do it with ease.
Original name "Lightning" was given to Lockheed P-38. Why is F-35 branded the legendary name of "Lightning II"?

Technically, its the Lightning III. The Greatest RAF Interceptor was also called the Lightning ;)

was it a lavi at 00:27 or an f-16?
macat73 4 years ago
That's an F-16B. That particular aircraft is a two seat chase plane. Its tail markings show it's from Edwards Air Force Base.

F-35B and a F-18 super hornet?

the F-35 is just as fast if not faster than the Hornet get ur facts right before u post shit
DANIAC262 3 years ago 3
F-35B - the Hornet would not be able to get radar contact on the F-35 because of its stealth characteristics.
