oh mah gawwwd.. Metal shark player! Did Gate run out of cool names for reploids, or what? This stage is super frustrating, the boss has a ridiculous name, and the overall experience of this stage is just hellish.

I like the difficulty of the stage and X6 in general. Its honestly not that bad especially when you consider how easy they made the final boss. They had to do something to make the game a challenge. Thats what makes the MM games worth buying. The challenge. If you want an easy MM game check out Megaman 8...

Sure this is one hell of a stage, and sure it frustrates a lot of people. But it's actually one of the better, more well-made and more quality stages. Unlike 99.9% of the game, this stage's difficulty is genuine, and it's more satisfying and rewarding to better yourself at.

If the game didn't kill you instantly when you fail to crouch under the compactor and instead made you crouch automatically if there is room for it; this stage would not be so frustrating. Intead, even if you are safely crouching under the compactor, if you let go of the D-Pad, you DIE! This could have been fixed easily.

what's the point of this stage? it drives a man crazy. there's a different between challenging and irritating, and this stage is practically a prank on loyal megaman fans. no one human being could ever enjoy something as horrid as this. in the words of bugs bunny: "anyone up for russian roulette?"

I got this from Mega Man Knowledge Base: His localized name is actually a mis-translation resulting from R & L being identical in Japanese. His name should be Prayer, as the joke is that he deals with resurrection and thus, "prays".

I hope this will stop people from guessing where his name comes from =)

I actually didn't find this stage all that bad or that hard, although I never played this game on any difficulty but Normal (or with any character but X). I've played it with both Nightmare effects, the crates and the ice, and I thought that the ice was probably less annoying.

And as far as his name goes, apparently it was supposed to be "Metal Shark Prayer", implying that he "prays" to "resurrect" the dead Mavericks. Just a little Engrish there.

"goosebumps from just watching" this stage psyches me out. not only do u have to worry about being smashed but also have those floating robots shoot at u (or bump into ya) while reaching point a to b. even worse, when you absolutely must duck to fit in between the ground & compacter, then something hits ya, being knocked out of crouch position....gameova!!

@rihopoking Someone made an interesting suggestion in another video, saying that it was a mistranslation and that it meant to be "Prayer" because he brings dead mavericks back to life. So kind of like a twisted priest...or something like that. I still think it's a very rough translation and probably has a different literal meaning in Japanese.

1. The Xtreme, unbearable gameplay or baby-easy foes.

2. The area which never changes much in any difficulty but remains very hard.
