Mormons, isn't this enough to hear that Ravi speaks to all of us that we are born evil in this world since the fall of man, and that not all are of God but of the devil except a man be born again, of water (Word), and Spirit?! oh ye latter day pharisees!!!! self righteous. read the Bible at least Romans 1! I noticed Bob Millet sitting on the stand. Bob has worked hard trying to downplay Joseph Smiths slander of Biblical Christianity. His methods are sneaky and coercive. He's been tasked to make the world believe that Mormons are Christian. That bridge will NEVER be crossed until the church admits Joseph was wrong & that Jesus is the Mighty Word of God. Mormons please read Deu 4v35+36-39 Isiah 43-10 it talks about only 1GOD and no GOD before me. Galatians 1-8 another angel, Matthew 22-30 no marriage in heaven Mark9 v43-46 is about hell . Once read about a preacher say that the greatest blessing that GOD can bestow upon a nation is faithful preachers. He went on to say the worst the worst curse GOD can pour upon a nation is to give them over to false and deluding preachers. and last of all read Philippians1 talks about departing to be with GOD

@aliveforYESHUAalone Mormon beliefs have changed quite a bit as far as I know. But there are many things that make them separate particularly from Christianity: 1: Their doctrines are the belief that you are saved by faith in Jesus AND works, for all mainstream Christianity it is ONLY Jesus.

Thier beliefs about a pre-existence and about the afterlife (Three Kingdoms for everyone (or everyone except demons and Satan.) They used to believe that God was a man who became a God.

@aliveforYESHUAalone 2 That Jesus and Satan are brothers. That God had a wife and that wife gave birth to everyone, including Jesus and Satan, angels and demons. Most say that they do not practice polygamy but can still be married/sealed to more than one woman for eternity. Plus, this is still in their D&C 132. They practice a thing called Baptism for the Dead, this is to ensure that people already dead get to the Celestial Kingdom (or one of the Kingdoms).

There is no small sin for any sin is paid for by the blood of christ. I respect you for your personal beliefs and I know that Jesus is my one and only savior. The book of mormon cant save me any more than the bible can. Joseph Smith cant save me any more than moses can save me... JESUS is the way the truth and the life for all of us "mormons"

@TheOriginalAnalogKid Ravi was invited to speak because of his intellect and subtlety. "The differences are deep" "and to meet on common ground" are expressions describing a break from WAR. (The Word was God) described in the New Testament became Emmanuel, (God with us).. It was Jesus Christ, the Almighty God who paid for the sins of the world. A {spirit brother named Jesus} who atoned for sin at Gethsemane, who must be repaid with obedience to law, ceremonies and money {is a false god}

I have found that evangelicals and Latter-Day-Saints share about 90% of the same beliefs. They are worded differently, and looked at from a slightly different perspective. Most protestants are offended that L.D.S. believe they are Christ's true church, restored to the earth; so they viciously attack and try to tear down the church by focusing on differences in doctrine.... 90% of the same beliefs? Not even close. After many years of research I found the New Testament was far from Josephs gospel. The Bible tells us we live in a fallen world. From Adams sin, humans are no longer born children of God. Humans are adopted as children through rebirth of the spirit. God is spirit, He is a consuming fire. Jesus who is the Word, "1 distinct part of the infinite God" agreed to take on a body of flesh to become a servant unto death.

Evangelicals claim that all you have to do to be saved is trust in Jesus Christ, and accept the atonement he made for you, the gift of salvation. I have done this. I have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal savior. Will I now be sent to Hell if I choose to demonstrate my love for Him by my "good works", and my service to others?

You may think of me as a hellbound, fallen creation of God; but I believe we are brothers. I will see you after we leave this life. God bless.

@TheOriginalAnalogKid My work is to present the gospel of Jesus Christ once delivered to the saints. In Mormonism, the words and verse sound Biblical, but are misnomers that are not appropriate to the context. The nature of God has been changed. The atonement is completely different and happened at a different place. Works and ceremony precede the grace of God. Man is born good and sin is placed into categoriies of severity. Murder and adultery isn't covered by the atonement.
