And how great is this? Beyond measure! Depth and tone of this instrument must be amazing because even in this open faced recording the richness of the bass and the play between the mid range and treble strings makes my arm hair stand on end. What a gracious presentation. I appreciate it more than I can say. Thank you. Raggy
Val! I am truly sorry! This was never in my Subscription list! I have no idea why. And it is a shame because this is sooo beautiful! I think maybe the video I like the best from you! Congratulations with your 500th video! JUST BEAUTIFUL! Loved it! Into my Favorites! I am now looking forward to your 1000th video.
Thank you for all you music my friend! You inspire me.
Yes, Gusta Goldschmidt makes this beautiful transcription of four cello suites for the baroque lute (but this one is the easyer...) I play another suite, but in Rob McKillop's transcription.
The playlists of the lute you've provided are good company in the late hour as I sit here and work on a prose I'm writing. Oddly enough, the main character plays a bandalore.
The time you've put into this instrument has become a blessing to all of us. Thank you.
very nice!I play baroque lute myself and want to play bach but get frustrated with all the different tunings! what key is this suite in? and where did you get the pieces from?
Your play and talent is so wonderful, I find myself just dreaming away here by listening. I could listen to it forever. Do you have a CD available that I could buy ? I love lute music.
Thanks for the message. I do have a CD, but not with Bach music (only renaissance works for lute and renaissance guitar) See the link on my channel...
I'm currently working on the last pieces of this suite (menuets and gigue) then I'll try some Weiss perhaps... and I've some anonymous suite from Leipzig Ms waiting for recording...
Thank you for a different view of the piece (richness of the 'cello, esp. on the dissonant chords of the 2nd half, traded for a more direct and "informal" sounding intimacy of the lute).
