Believe it or not, in his first 172 rounds of boxing, Roy Jones Jr won 160 of those rounds on the judges scorecards! that was up until he was 35 years old. That is an incredible statistic, thats like winning 11 out of every 12 rounds. By far the most dominant boxer of all time. Every fighter, no matter how great, eventually loses his reflexes/skills to age (some last longer than others). Both Sugar Ray Leonard and Sugar Ray Robinson, when their time had come, lost quite a few fights that they would have won easily during their peaks. Same for Jones. In his prime he was one of the all-time greats - simply unbeatable in his heyday (in fact, he rarely even lost a single round). The man deserves enormous respect. He was a boxing god.Those that put him down are pathetic.

I a one of Roy's biggest fans, have been ever since the Toney fight. But I just do not want to see him box ever again. In all fairness, if I was him I would have retired after the Ruiz fight, he sealed his legacy in that, and it would have capped off a great career. Given Jones age, I think Jones would be very tough at cruiserweight or heavyweight, even more so than at Lt Heavyweight. I think the extra pounds would allow Jones to train like he used to instead of draining weight to try to make 175. Jones is undefeated at heavyweight, and if he slowly gains a few pounds of muscle (like he did when he initially moved up to HW), he could keep the speed he had against Hopkins and Lacy up to heavyweight with power. I'd even like to see Jones vs either Klischko.

Respect Jones for all he's achieved, truly one of the best boxers of all time! But who here remembers what Calzaghe did to him not so long ago, he was taunting him with his own weaves by towards the end. Calzaghe was a great fighter in his own right, but if Jones can no longer compete against the best boxers, and yes David Haye is one of the best heavyweights, his career speaks for itself, then Jones should hang up his gloves once and for all and avoid any potential embarrassment.
