I hate that there always are so cool stories that never comes to its climaxes in smallvilles seasons finales. Or the seasons finales are sometimes very good but the beginning of the comings seasons are much worse.

lex never turned evil in my opinion, he just kept fighting to be the strongest and survive and make good use of his money to study and take advantage of his position. knowledge is power and time is money! can't waste it, and he didn't :).. michael rosenbaum is the perfect actor for Lex Luthor character. he cud really relate to em and be really convincing.
greartest scene in Smallville Rosenbaum is great in this it shows he's ruthless willing to do anything to get what he wants Lex is truly consumed by darkness. They shouldn't hace stopped 33.1 and Rosnebaum shouldn't have left. COME BACK TO SMALLVILLE ROSENBAUM!!!!!!!

I'm not a Smallville fan, I use to be when it first came on tv. I watch it occasionally now and then, especially if Lex is in the episode... Lex Luther is my favorite character; my only favorite (the man who plays him I think more so than the actual character :P)! I love this scene! what innocent person did lex keep in 33.1. in freak lex experimented on meteor freaks and let them go. and in my opoinion smallville's lex luthor is the real hero in the show. in every other incarcination of the characters lex is evil and clark is good.
He imprisoned the Flash kid. He had Cyborg under wrap and key and experimented on him and wanted to make him fully robotic. 33.1 imprinsoned innocent people as well as bad people AND it did experiment on innocent people as well. Remember what Van Mcnulty (the mutant hunter in episode 3 of the season 3) said, mutant will become murderer. Jake polland have been his best friends for years before becoming a killer,(he try to assasinate Lana) and he was a mutants. The guy on the bed in this video was a serial killer, in the past he was an old friend of clark's father. Eric summer (The power stealer at the episode 12 of season 1) was a good guy before he took clark's power and become evil.
The indian guy in the episode 20 of the season 3 became evil as well when he get the power of Clark. Kriptonyte power change them and make them most dangerous criminal ever. Every mutants have a great chance to be dangerous for humans (not all but most of them). I think Lex is not that evil because he is the owner of the laboratory 33.1, just my point of view.
Lex took people out of their lives and put them in prisons injected things into them and took things out of them without their permission and messed up with their memories. He violated basic human rights. he is evil.
@femtoservants dont forger too, kryptonite effects their mids, only those that are truly good are uneffected by his mental effects on humans. however, those are can be treated and rehabilitated. what Lex was doing, ultimately wrong, you dont take it upon yourself to discard and capture living people because of your own perceptions of law and order. you leave to the proper authorities.

Remember what Van Mcnulty (the mutant hunter in episode 3 of the season 3) said, mutant will become murderer. Jake polland have been his best friends for years before becoming a killer,(he try to assasinate Lana) and he was a mutants. The guy on the bed in this video was a serial killer, in the past he was an old friend of clark's father. Eric summer (The power stealer at the episode 12 of season 1) was a good guy before he took clark's power and become evil.

The indian guy in the episode 20 of the season 3 became evil as well when he get the power of Clark. Kriptonyte power change them and make them most dangerous criminal ever. Every mutants have a great chance to be dangerous for humans (not all but most of them). I think Lex is not that evil because he is the owner of the laboratory 33.1, just my point of view.

@femtoservants dont forger too, kryptonite effects their mids, only those that are truly good are uneffected by his mental effects on humans. however, those are can be treated and rehabilitated. what Lex was doing, ultimately wrong, you dont take it upon yourself to discard and capture living people because of your own perceptions of law and order. you leave to the proper authorities.
