I can't believe that the aviation community and the FAA are not demanding these towers to be strobe lit. It's a blatant hazard and an accident just waiting to happen. Your video shows that you don't see the orange balls until you are on top of it. A PPC flying at 25 mph might have time to react but a high speed, low flying crop duster wouldn't see it till it's too late. This is a lawsuit in the making after the first accident occurs.

A meteorological tower that a crop dusting plane struck on Webb Tract Island in Contra Costa County last week might not have been visible to the pilot, who was killed in the crash, according to a preliminary report issued by the National Transportation Safety Board.
The crash was reported shortly before 11 a.m. on Jan. 10, killing the pilot, Stephen Allen, 58
