@inkey2 In answer to your question the cotton acts as a filter. Pills are mostly filler with very little of the actual drug. The cotton filters out the chalk, wax and/or plastic that makes up the actual pressed pill.

For as dark as the content and storyline is it's a beautiful film, visually.

There's a Dennis Hopper directed film called "Out Of The Blue" that has the same effect on me. It's a dark and hard watch story wise but the acting and visual feel of the film makes it uncomfortably beautiful.
